23.01.2022 The New South Wales Government has announced coronavirus restrictions at religious services, weddings and funerals will be relaxed from June 1. Twenty people will be able to attend weddings, 50 at religious services at places of worship and 50 at funerals, subject to the four-square-metre rule. Premier Gladys Berejiklian said it was still important for people to follow health advice. "We know how important these services are to individuals and families but as we ease restrictions further, we must remember to keep one another safe," Ms Berejiklian said.

Because my fee structure allows me to include a 'family' rate of $200, I'd like to consider you a family member for the lead-up and celebration of your re-scheduled wedding in 2020. 17.01.2022 The framework for gatherings of up to 100 people indoors, when step 3 is in place (July?), has been changed to accommodate as many people in a space, using the 4 m2 ratio, as the space will take. This may be a good thing, however, it may be an upsetting update ... To achieve the 4 square metres ‘rule’ you would calculate the area of the room (e.g length of the room in metres x width of the room in metres = area of the room in square metres), and divide the area of the room b...y 4. For example, if you had a room that was 160 square metres in size, you should only allow up to 40 people in the room, 200 square metres allows up to 50 people in the room to allow each person to have 4 square metres of space. To cater for 100 guests at a wedding, the venue would need to have an area of 400 square metres, almost the size of a tennis court. This could be good news, or it could be not so good news, to couples planning on inviting 100 guests to their wedding. As of Step 3, size will matter, so if you are being married within the next few months, don't leave it too late to contact your venue for the dimensions of the room you've pre-booked. Good Luck with it all - these restrictions may suck, but we all need to do our bit to control the spread of COVID-19. And it's become the law, so let's get resourceful with wedding ideas and think outside the square. This thing will pass, in time. 13.01.2022 Weddings and corporate events will be limited to 150 people, and high risk activities such as choirs and dancing must not occur. Funerals and places of worship will be limited to 100 people. The one person per four square metre rule still applies. The new restrictions will apply from 12:01am on Friday July 24.... These measures we are bringing in are to protect NSW. These measures will reduce the risk of community transmission getting out of control, Ms Berejiklian said. Good Luck with it all - these restrictions may suck, but we all need to do our bit to control the spread of COVID-19.
