We all know about the ‘social distancing’ advice from the Australian government for reducing the spread of Coronavirus. It’s 1.5 meters. It’s a set distance that helps our safety. Now, what does that remind us of, hmm? The NSW ‘Minimum Passing Distance’ rule for cars passing cyclists on the road!... The law requires a minimum 1m if driving less than 60km/h, or 1.5m if more than 60km/h. It’s a sensible rule that helps protect cyclists’ safety.
