10.01.2022 "Learn as much as you can about the culture and participate." - Aunty Deanna. Each year, NAIDOC Week celebrates the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, who are part of some of the oldest continuing cultures on the planet. #AlwaysWasAlwaysWillBe #NAIDOC2020 *Posted by the NSW Department of Education*

07.01.2022 Out in the Macquarie Marshes with Marra Creek P.S.

07.01.2022 Students from Dubbo College-Delroy campus completed activities toward Duke of Ed with us last week. A hike to Grand High Tops with a night at Balor Hut carrying everything they required on their backs took a good deal of fitness and resilience. The WNPEEC has recently purchased everything needed for overnight hiking from Outdoor Equipped. With an emphasis on well-being and teamwork, is this something your students would be keen to do?

05.01.2022 What a great day we had today!! We had our whole school excursion to the Warrumbungle National Park Environmental Education Centre. We found evidence of animal...s in the National Park, studied the properties of eucalyptus and released our inner creative side with drawings and water colours. Do you know what a scats is??? Ask at BPS student - they do!!! We even got to cool off with a paddle! Thanks to Ang at WNPEEC - we learnt so much!! Also a big thank you to our supportive P&C for helping to fund today’s excursion. We had a fantastic day! #LoveWhereWeLearn See more

05.01.2022 This year’s Australian Pollinator Week is nearing its end, and while we can all agree that bees are incredibly valuable and important pollinators both for our f...ood crops and the natural environment (and not to mention adorable ), there are so many other pollinators who deserve our appreciation too! We’ve put together a list of just a few of those other pollinators to help broaden your knowledge on the importance of many different insects (and species generally!) in our ecosystem. Make sure you show them all some love by looking out for them and including them in your #WildPollinatorCount (running until the 15th Nov) before the end of the week! Find out more about how to conduct a wild pollinator count via https://wildpollinatorcount.com - if you can’t participate in this week’s public count, don’t worry, the next count will be held in April. It’s a great activity to do with kids and you only need 10 minutes to do it!
