09.01.2022 With the announcement of FNSW Competition restart confirmed, Western NSW FC regrettably will not be participating in the WNPL 2 Competition in 2020. The senior squad was low on numbers but the impact of covid-19 has placed a further strain on player availability and as such, the club has opted to not partake in the first grade competition. The club will continue to play in the Girls Youth Grades from U14-17 along with Girls SAP commencing the weekend of July 11-12. Western NSW FC will be competing in NPL 4 Mens as per the competition teams announcement.

05.01.2022 FNSW Announcement
04.01.2022 FFA has confirmed its full support for the Australian Governments COVIDSafe app. Football Federation Australia has produced Guidelines in readiness for a return to community football, which is being discussed by the National Cabinet on Friday. The app has been launched by the Federal Government as part of its plan to slow the spread of COVID-19, and it will help state and territory health officials to quickly alert people who may be at risk of having contact with the virus. ... WNSWFC encourage the football community to download the COVIDSafe app. Having already achieved tremendous success as a nation in helping to restrict the spread of COVID-19, and with New South Wales having contained much of the spread, we now must do all we can to wipe out this disease. As part of that, were encouraging the entire football community to download the COVIDSafe app. The sooner we can isolate cases, the sooner our health system can manage this crisis and the faster well be able to resume play. The vigilance shown by Australians had enabled the number of new cases to fall significantly, meaning that football could be in a position to return sooner than originally anticipated. Our Federal Government has made the resumption of Schools and Community Sport a priority once it is clear that the worst of the pandemic is behind us, if the numbers keep improving, and we have a sustained period with no new cases, we expect that there will be a gradual re-introduction of community-based activity, of which football is a central part. The way the football community has banded together, followed the rules and committed to staying the course during this difficult period has shown the collective strength of our game. https://www.health.gov.au/reso/apps-and-tools/covidsafe-app
