03.01.2022 It’s the school holidays, so we thought we would mix up the cross country season and have a bit of fun! The regular course will be set out for the last weekend of the holidays, but the middle weekend has been left open for something a bit different. So The School Holiday Cross Country Challenge has been set! The challenge can be whatever you want it to be, so long as you are out running or walking in the great outdoors, enjoying the fresh holiday air!... Some suggestions for the challenge could be: See how far you can run in a single run who can run the longest distance? See how far you can run over the holidays go for a few runs and show us your cumulative total! Track your run on a GPS app to try and make a pattern or picture (see below for some examples of GPS art, or google search "GPS Art" for inspiration) If you are away on holidays go for a fun and show us a photo of what exotic location you are running in! Email Pete with your results before the end of the holidays and what challenge you set for yourself! Take photos or screenshots of your runs if you can track them on an app and send in the proof. This run won’t count toward the aggregate at the end of the season, but counts for something even better the chance to win some chocolate prizes for great effort! We are just encouraging everyone to have a bit of fun with a run over the holidays, can’t wait to see what people come up with!

01.01.2022 Results from the weekends Family orienteering activity in the common The planning to run the activity is crucial which would limit backtracking and easier identification of the tracks and the intersections which was where most of the cones were placed. Congratulations to the Emmerson Family for their effort by being the fastest family around the course after adding on their handicap time, and noting the 10 letter cones. Second was the Devine Family followed by the White family.
