18.01.2022 Birthday week at WVSC!!! Happy birthday to Club President Marc and Club Administrator Shiree

17.01.2022 Yesterday we conducted another COVID Safe Checkpoint assessment as part of Canberra’s Recovery Plan. As a result of the assessment, the level of restrictions in... the ACT will remain at Step 3.1. While the ACT remains in a good position, with no active cases and no new cases in eight weeks, the situation can change quickly either here or in neighbouring jurisdictions. We continue to closely monitor the evolving situations in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland, and the challenges they’re facing. The ACT does not exist in isolation and we need to consider the situation surrounding us as well as within the Territory. While there is another COVID Safe Checkpoint in two weeks, the same level of restrictions is likely to be needed in the ACT for the near future. However, this should not stop Canberrans from enjoying the change to spring, the warmer weather, longer days, sunshine and the good company of family and friends in a COVID Safe way. Being COVID Safe means: physically distancing between different groups practising good hand and respiratory hygiene staying home if you’re unwell, and getting tested if you have COVID-19 symptoms. By ensuring we remain 1.5 metres from people we don’t know whether at a café or when you’re out and about we reduce the chance of people who don’t know each other mingling, and allow for easier contact tracing, if required. It’s important we maintain these measures to keep the ACT in a strong position to respond quickly, if needed. Thank you for working together to keep the ACT safe and healthy.
