15.01.2022 Ok, so we know SPF is damn vital in this Australia climate we’re living in, so here are the facts on both Physical and Chemical SPF and which one is right for you. Physical sunscreen ingredients (including the minerals titanium dioxide and zinc oxide) block and scatter the rays before they penetrate your skin. Chemical sunscreen ingredients (like avobenzone and octisalate) absorb UV rays before they can damage your skin.... ? Physical sunscreens are less likely to cause sensitivity to the skin as they have no chemicals. We recommend and use MOTHERSPF Physical blocker for people with sensitive, reactive or red skin. Chemical sunscreen has its place with people that suffer from acnetic skin, breakouts or congestion. Physical sunscreens sit heavier on the skin and tend to be more comodegenic (pore blocking), so a chemical would be better for this skin type. We use and recommend dermaviduals SPF 15+ and 30+ for this skin type. ’ 50+ SPF15+ gives 93% coverage, SPF30+ gives 97% coverage whilst SPF50+ gives 98% coverage. Consider this when deciding which one is best for your skin.. SPF50+ offers longer burn time protection with only 1% more UVB protection whilst the skin has to endure a greater amount of chemicals absorbed into the skin. It’s a bit of a false sense of protection. We recommend a maximum of SPF30+ whilst in the sun and reapplied when necessary. Virtual skin consults are available via zoom from 10am - 2pm Mon - Fri. Because we care about your skin in these times, a skin analysis is normally $50 but we’re doing them during lockdown for $30 which is redeemable on prescriptive skin care. 08.01.2022 ’ Feel beautiful again in approx.. 15days, 19hours and 07 minutes You may have heard today’s announcement that beauty can return in regional Victoria as off this Thursday. However, our team have pre-organised a week of disconnecting from work from the 24th - 30th September. Although it may seem like we’ve had oodles of time off, the girls have been tirelessly training and keeping our retail, home kits and Albury clinic running. With no ...one having any break all year we’re taking a weeks annual leave to get our holiday fix before we come back to what we know will be mayhem! Although we cannot wait to be hands on when we are back, there is a catch all clients must wear a face mask at all times. This is huge as it means that we cannot do any facial treatments or pamper packages which is a huge part of our business (I’m not crying you are ) we will keep fighting for this to be changed and hope for a better out come sooner than later. Will now operate on Saturdays instead of during the week as of a October to accomodate for our Albury clients. The no mask rule does not apply here. Later this week a booking link will be sent to clients who missed an appointment with us from 6th August - 30th September. The next day a link will go to our loyal clients. 03.01.2022 Three cheers for Jess! (Wine aside she’s pregnant!) Our beautiful receptionist/therapist/all rounder/fixes everything/totes has our backs all the time is going on Maternity leave I can’t count how many times the team and I have said ‘gosh I’m gonna miss that woman’. A delightful fun hard worker she is and now we’re all wondering how we’ll go on without her aside from absolutely clinging to you Jess we are swooning to meet your beautiful baby number two and can’t wait for this chapter of your life. It’s Jess’ last day tomorrow, an early mark due to old mate Rona.
