We have to ask the question, why was this Psalm even included in the Psalter? What good purpose could a lament so distressing serve in the context of our Bible? The sermon this week addresses the fact that we have all experienced grief through the Covid-19 lockdown. It might not be grief as acute as the loss of a child or loved one..., but it is grief nonetheless and acknowledging this is the first step in being able to deal with it.
