24.01.2022 The shed maybe officially closed for gatherings however the veggie garden still needs attention. Shedder Colin has been on the job whilst Don L has been away. Assisted here by Mick W.

23.01.2022 Potential project for the Men's shed....making fishing lures. At $3,500 each we will all be rich!!!! In today's Border Mail -this story:... "The unique collectors item took Kuttafurra Lures' Aaron Young years of on and off work to piece together from his Bundalong work shed, with the finished product attracting plenty of attention from fishing lovers. After selling for $3,500, a handcrafted wooden crayfish lure has been dubbed "a bargain"." .

22.01.2022 Have you ever cooked 600 sausages and 32 beef burgers in a couple of hours.? Well the BBQ team of Mick W, Alton. Ron P, Les L, David G and Gary W did this morning for the students and staff at the Bandiana Primary School, for their sports day. Thanks to the great assistance provided by teachers and student grade captains the operation was as smooth as silk and no child went hungry.

21.01.2022 This is incredible. Ralph made his own single operator saw mill with parts he scavenged, including aircraft parts from a Canberra Bomber ! "The fellow who has never made a mistake, has never made anything". Good motto for the Men's Shed.

19.01.2022 Vale Bob Martin We lost a remarkable member on Friday 14 August 2020 at Wodonga Hospital. Bob had many skills that he gladly used to support the shed, particularly in Project Management of the new building in Jamieson Street and supplying and maintaining our computer systems.... There is a live stream of the funeral today. The live stream link will become active at 2:25pm via Lester & Son Funeral Directors. 17.01.2022 One of the Shed's key partners in projects for the metal lads is Parklands Albury Wodonga. Ant Packer has another ranger to help her small team during the busy spring time. When the Shed re-opens we will be manufacturing some chicane gates for the various walking tracks along the local hills. Welcome to Chris.

16.01.2022 We have many fishermen among our members and also quite a few with artistic talent. This combines both. Anyone willing to give it a go?

14.01.2022 Here's a Men's Shed type joke to make you laugh on this hot day. Of course, we know this would NEVER occur with any of our members. https://www.youtube.com/watch

08.01.2022 Our next project is to produce these special bolts. We believe there is a huge unsatisfied market out there.

08.01.2022 Fun facts about Australia as viewed by overseas visitors. Which animal in Australia is the most dangerous? What should you definitely not do with a Gympie Gympie plant. How long would it take you to visit every beach if you went to a different one each day?

06.01.2022 Here it is! Our brand new Men's Sheds Community Service Announcement features the beautiful voice of Michael Caton and it's just in time for the start of Men's Shed Week! What do you think? #mensshedweek2020 #morethanjustashed

05.01.2022 How will we remember 2020? Are we nearer to opening the shed or is that "light a the end of the tunnel" another train heading towards us through the darkness. I am interested in seeing what shedders have been up to.... I know Mick W built some horse jumps for his grand daughter and her horse. Ron G laid some grass that he will never have to mow. Ken F built a mailbox that he needed a building permit for. Alton had been preparing for having the new steel security fence built and has already sold the existing chain mesh fence/gates. Mick S has been building a chicken coop for a lady. Greg McG is basking in Melbourne Demons success. Colin W has been caring for our vegie garden and doing a superb job (look out Don LeF - you may have lost your job). Mick W has been keeping the shed running whilst part time Pres Bill improves his suntan So, send me some photos or messages of any activities or our shedders. Personally, I restored a trailer that was left behind at a house my son recently purchased. Thanks to Ron G who welded on the new coupling.

04.01.2022 With the covid restrictions I have found time to answer some questions that have always bothered me. Here are three images that illustrate the answers to these 3 questions. See if you can figure out what the often quoted questions are.

01.01.2022 Talk about putting things in perspective.... I spent an hour in the bank with my dad, as he had to transfer some money. I couldn't resist myself and asked... ''Dad, why don't we activate your internet banking?'' ''Why would I do that?'' He asked... ''Well, then you wont have to spend an hour here for things like transfer.... You can even do your shopping online. Everything will be so easy!'' I was so excited about initiating him into the world of Net banking. He asked ''If I do that, I wont have to step out of the house? ''Yes, yes''! I said. I told him how even grocery can be delivered at door now and how amazon delivers everything! His answer left me tongue-tied. He said ''Since I entered this bank today, I have met four of my friends, I have chatted a while with the staff who know me very well by now. You know I am alone...this is the company that I need. I like to get ready and come to the bank. I have enough time, it is the physical touch that I crave. Two years back I got sick, The store owner from whom I buy fruits, came to see me and sat by my bedside and cried. When your Mom fell down few days back while on her morning walk. Our local grocer saw her and immediately got his car to rush her home as he knows where I live. Would I have that 'human' touch if everything became online? Why would I want everything delivered to me and force me to interact with just my computer? I like to know the person that I'm dealing with and not just the 'seller'. It creates bonds of Relationships. Does Amazon deliver all this as well?''' Technology isn't life.. Spend time with people .. Not with devices." Writer: Unknown See more
