19.01.2022 I've been working closely with AlburyCity Mayor Cr Kevin Mack following the announcement that the border will be closed. We know the first few days are going to be tough and at this stage we don't have a lot of information or answers. Hopefully we will know more today. But we are advocating and working with both governments to support this closure while doing all we can to limit the impact on our community, including people who live and work on separate sides of the border.... #COVID-19 #AlburyWodonga #TwoCitiesOneCommunity

17.01.2022 Well nearly 7.30 and the line is nearly to the centre of Wodonga. Surely they have to understand that this is never going to work. Ahhhhhhh

15.01.2022 There are days when things seem tough but today I just feel grateful to the wonderful Wodonga community. Thank you Belvoir Special school for your beautiful words. #lovewodonga #strongerwodonga

14.01.2022 AlburyCity Mayor Cr Mack and I are committed to keeping you updated as we can. With the border closure just hours away, we continue to lobby our state governments to minimise the impact on our community. Although details of the permit system had not yet arrived by COB, locals with legitimate reasons will be allowed to cross. We'll keep you updated as further information comes in.... The web page for applying for a permit is here: https://www.service.nsw.gov.au//apply-covid-19-nsw-border- #COVID-19 #AlburyWodonga #TwoCitiesOneCommunity

12.01.2022 I have downloaded the Covid App. If there is any chance of helping out local businesses to reopen soon and safely I will absolutely do it. This still has to remain a personal choice for everyone.

11.01.2022 Well done to all our community for doing the right thing in keeping our region safe and healthy. Thanks to all the staff at AWH for their great work. #lovewodongaandthepeople #2cities1community

11.01.2022 First of 2020 school visits. Not only did I get to talk local government to grade 6 but I got to meet some of the newest pupils in prep. Made my day!!

10.01.2022 #upstream live on Today show this morning with Mayor Mack promoting our fabulous region to #australia

08.01.2022 AlburyCity Mayor Cr Kevin Mack and I have been lobbying our relevant state departments and authorities for more efficient traffic management measures for our community. It is hoped our community will experience easier journeys around our two cities tomorrow.

08.01.2022 Thank you for all your messages and feedback. I understand your frustration. The CEO and I have been meeting every day with the cross-border commissioners and police representatives and raising the issues and concerns we hear from you. We know areas of our municipality have not been included in the "border bubble" and are unable to get a permit to undertake the essentials of employment and education.... We have been lobbying very hard on this and hope to see some action on on this in the next couple of days. I encourage you to continue to raise your issues and also reach out to the Victorian cross-border commissioner Luke Wilson and Member for Benambra Bill Tilley who can also raise this issue directly with their NSW counterparts.

08.01.2022 And so it begins. At 6.40am this morning the wait to traverse the border is already 40 minutes. The good news is the permit site is working this morning unlike last night. Albury-Wodonga we will keep fighting for better practical solutions. #lovewodonga #strongerwodonga

04.01.2022 #lovewodonga. Second storey on the New library art space starting to go up. Exciting to see this beautiful building emerging from the site.

03.01.2022 On the banks of the Murray River with the Flying Fruit Fly Circus and the TODAY show promoting Upstream - Festival of Art + Culture and our great region. Thanks so much to Tim and the Today show for coming and sharing our region and for all those who came down this morning to tell local stories and share our local talent. #visitthemurray #visitalburywodonga #9Today
