14.01.2022 We know that all of our beautiful friends and clients are aware of the current COVID-19 pandemic. We just wanted to provide a quick update from the Wolfy’s team. For the foreseeable future we will be operating as usual. We already have strict hygiene protocols in place for staff as well as thorough cleaning protocols for the salon, using veterinary grade disinfectants, and we will continue these practices while adding some extra routines on top just to be thorough. If at any ...point our hours or mode of business change in response to the evolving situation, we will let you know. Could we please ask the following of our clients coming into the salon: If you are unwell especially if you have any flu-like symptoms (fever, cough, or other upper respiratory symptoms); or if you have returned from overseas within the last 14 days and/or had contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 DO NOT come into the salon. Please give us a call to rearrange your appointment we will be waiving all late-notice cancellation fees to reschedule. This is of paramount importance to the protection of our staff, some of whom go home to young babies and immuno-compromised relatives, and also to our other clients. We would greatly prefer card payments instead of cash at the moment. Our EFTPOS terminals accept Paypass/contactless payment and will be cleaned and disinfected after each use. In the interest of maintaining good habits please be mindful of personal space. We know our reception area is fairly small, but if you can do your best to keep some distance between yourself, other clients and the receptionist everyone will appreciate it! We are also aware of some misinformation spreading around social media in regards to zoonotic transmission between humans and dogs. At this point in time there are NO cases of human to dog (or vice versa) transmissions of COVID-19. Dogs have had their own version of coronavirus for many years which affects the intestines and causes symptoms like diarrhoea. Similarly, cats also have their own strain of coronavirus - which can mutate into a more serious condition called FIP and again is largely an intestinal illness rather than respiratory - but neither the cat nor dog strains of coronavirus are the same as COVID-19 and they cannot pass to humans or across species. We have always held a policy that if your pet is unwell for ANY reason, their appointment should be rescheduled once they have seen a vet and have recovered. 03.01.2022 Beautiful Columbus after a MASSIVE deshed - these Siberians sure know how to grow a coat!! It's really important to keep our long haired cats maintained over winter - with the addition of extra undercoat during the colder months, it is not at all uncommon to see a lot of matting form. Often we wait until spring to shave them down to deal with the matting, but a few good wash and desheds over winter can prevent matting and allow us to keep their beautiful coats year round
