04.01.2022 Have you done your forward fold today? The forward fold, or in Sanskrit the "Uttanasana" is the third pose in both the Hatha and Ashtanga Sun Salutations. It is also a primary focus pose which I teach in the Hatha classes as it is really beneficial for increasing our overall flexibility, especially in our legs, hip, neck & back. This pose is also a soothing pose which assists with anxiety and depression and can help calm the nervous system. When we are sinking in to this po...se we are using our outward breath and focusing on bending our hips first and allowing our upper body to slowly lower. This can be done by breathing out as we bend our elbows and then elongating our arms down our legs. We will be working on this being our focus pose in our adjustment and alignment class held at 10:45 to 11:30 am on Wednesday the 17.02.2021 and Wednesday the 24.02.2021. Booking are still available for classes if you'd like to join in. We are open Monday to Wednesday and you can find the timetable on our website at wollemiyoga.com
