25.01.2022 South West Sydney Academy of Sport Nominations are still open for SWSAS girls & boys AFL development and coach development, closing date is Sunday 17 January 2021. Junior AFL eligibility is for 11 and 12 year old girls and boys born in 2009 or 2010. The development program starts in mid February 2021.... 25.01.2022 Grand Finals done and dusted. We hosted 10 teams at Wollondilly Normally we have a great group of helpers and volunteers but on the weekend you all excelled yourselves. People should never underestimate a Redback..... Grand Finals did not go the way we wanted ... Under 11's went down to Bankstown Under 12's went down to Ingleburn Under 13's went down to Fairfield And the Under 14 Girls went down to Camden The Under 17's did get up over Camden to take home the title of Premiers as well as Minor Premiers Congratulations to all players who got the opportunity to play in finals We are proud of you all In the 14 Girls game Natasha Hamilton took out the Best on Ground and in the 17's game Hayden Willebrand scored 6 goals and took out Best on Ground. Please feel free to post any photos of the games on the weekend.

22.01.2022 So, 2020 is almost over, and as much as we would love to see it finished, DON'T FORGET to send in your 2020 Active Kids Voucher ASAP. The 2020 Active Kids vouchers expire tomorrow. The Vouchers can be used towards Season 2021 registration fees, however they need to be used now as they cannot be used in 2021. 18.01.2022 UPDATE: The persons swab has come back negative but has to still unfortunately have to isolate for 14 days Today we have been notified that someone at Summer AFL on Wednesday has been a close contact of someone with COVID. This person has just been notified of this and has gone into isolation and has had testing performed ... NSW Health has advised that everyone at Summer AFL is only considered a casual contact and everyone just has to monitor for symptoms. Isolation is not required We hope that this persons result come back negative and wish them all the best but we do remind everyone that we need to be diligent with hand washing and remember to sanitise all the time

Come down with a team, or come as an individual and we will make a team. Minimal contact but AFL rules. Teams will be age appropriate and will be providing fun, fitness and friends spread the word.....come and have some fun......

16.01.2022 Here we are at the end of the season, that quite honestly we weren't sure from week to week if it was going to happen. Congratulations to all players, for such a wonderful season. Hold your heads up high and remember you made it through this difficult time 5 teams into Grand FInals.......Is amazing... We could not have done it all without everyone following dierctions and doing the right thing. Thank you.. There has been a slight relaxation on some of the COVID reulations that allow more than just one parent to watch a game, but we do ask that everyone is still sensible, uses the social distancing and if you are unwell, STAY AWAY. 06.01.2022 We are currently looking to fill the position of Canteen Manager, for the 2021 Season. We would like to thank Nadine McCabe for her dedication and hard work for the 2020 season. The Canteen plays a key role in raising funds for the club and its players. Without the efforts of the Canteen the club’s ability to provide necessary equipment is greatly reduced. The Canteen Manager is to provide a canteen service at all home games and at other times, as agreed. They are also to pro...vide support to the Executive and Committee members to ensure the efficient operation of the Club. As Canteen Manager, the responsibilities include: Ensure that an adequate food safety plan is in place for canteen operations. Ensure that adequate equipment is available for providing the canteen services. Establish a menu of goods for sale that provides variety that will attract all members and visitors to purchase goods from canteen. Ensure goods are purchased at the best (but not necessarily the cheapest) rates possible Ensure that the canteen is open for business from the commencement of the first game at home games Account for all purchases and receipts. Assist other Committee members in their duties as required. Undertake tasks at the request of the President, Executive or General Committee. The Canteen Manager is also: Accountable to the Club Executive & Committee. To provide a report on any aspect of portfolio operations to the monthly Committee meeting. To seek ratification from the appropriate Committee member prior to committing the Club to any financial expenditure or action. The Key Challenges as Canteen Manager are: Improving efficiencies in the canteen Wollondilly Junior Footy Club is happy to take any suggestions or ideas on board, for consideration. Securing and scheduling Volunteers to assist with the canteen.
