04.01.2022 Nepal & Myanmar: Its time to uncover the cultural and picturesque highlights of these extraordinary Asian nations!

04.01.2022 Do you love learning about the history, ancient architecture and culture of different nations? Well did you know that Nepal has more UNESCO World Heritage Sites... than any other country in the world? In Kathmandu Valley for instance you must visit The Temple of Lord Shiva-Pasupatinath with its two tiered golden roof and silver doors. This structure is famous for its superb Newari architecture and can be found near the banks of the sacred Bagmati River. Pashupatinath - which dates back as far as 400 AD - is the holiest shrine of Lord Shiva and one of the four major pilgrimage centers for all Hindus. Entrance to the temple precinct is permitted to the Hindus Only, however visitors can view the temple from the eastern bank of the Bagmati River. If you want to know more about this and other heritage sites, come along to the next Wollongong Travel Enthusiasts event on March 25th when we will be showcasing the culture, landscapes, architecture and highlights of Nepal. #thattravelchick #destinationnepal #bucketlistitem #wollongongtravelenthusiasts
