23.01.2022 Our Senior and Junior brass bands played yesterday in the State Band Championships - congratulations to them! A lot of fun had and significant improvement in both bands (well done particularly to our juniors who played 3rd in Open D grade!!) Big thanks goes to all the players, musical directors, parents and helpers who make all this sort of thing possible.

22.01.2022 Band members from all around Australia are spreading the word: Because ANZAC Day ceremonies have had to be cancelled, theyre going to do something to lift the ...spirits. At dawn -6am - on April 25, those who wish to, go outside in your back yard or balcony, or down to your local park with your instrument, and everyone play The Last Post. 1 minutes silence, then Revielle. Imagine it: in towns and cities, on farms and beaches,; north, south, east, west - the sound goes around Australia. And people will be capturing this heart-felt salute to our soldier-heroes on their phones, Im sure! Spread the word. Lets co-ordinate and do it together It will have more impact. Youve got one month to practice. (We are in quarantine so Ron will be playing it on his trombone. I apologise to everyone in advance ) If anyone needs it, sheet music here

06.01.2022 The Junior Brass Band's first attempt at a "everyone record your part at home and we'll put it all together and see what happens" project! This is of an arrangement done by our conductor Des Cannings and the audio has been compiled (with many many thanks) by Kyle Eardley. We think it went pretty well for a first go! Hope you enjoy it.

06.01.2022 Wind Band is excited to have achieved 2nd place in our section at State contest today. Our first contest experience and our first performance outside Wollongong - it was the culmination of a journey thats seen our ensemble strengthen musically and as a community. Congratulations to everyone involved on an enjoyable and rewarding experience.
