22.01.2022 In Round 5... 1st Grade were made to chase Keira’s 154 (all out). Will Whitehouse took 4/26. Our batsmen were in a rush, and grabbed the 2 bonus points, getting to the winning runs 2/160 in the 25th over. A 72 run opening stand between Matt Grealy (50) & Toby Dodds (35), followed up by 53 n.o. from David Studholme. 2nd Grade were in trouble early (4/32), then 8/76. Hamza Maqbool scored a well made 51, and with Truman Driscoll (32) put on 65 for the last wicket and surpass... the previous best of 50 by Adam Day & Adrian Ebens in 2001. But that wasn’t enoughKeira chased the winning runs down in the 30th over. 3rd Grade Whites scored a bonus point win over Keira Red. We bowled them out for 98, with Abdul Haseeb Afridi taking 3/12 of his 9 overs. Shahzaib Noor made 55, as we took the win 7/101 in the 29th Over. 3rd Grade Maroons made 212 against Corrimal. Thrivedi Visametty (61), and Extras (43) scoring a big portion of the runs. In reply Corrimal were all out 85, with Wahaj 4/11, and Will Badger 3/28 being the destroyers with the ball. 4th Grade Blacks total of 9/183 was chased down by Helensburgh. 4th Grade Whites had a BYE. Our Junior Gems had a win on Wednesday. Our Womens Gems had the BYE this week. U17Bs made 5/155, to defeat Balgownie 8/137. Waiting on results from U13s & U11sbut heard Levi took 4/7! And the Master Blasters & Junior Blasters continue a growbig thanks to Peter Head & Nilesh Chauhan and all their helpers each Saturday morning 9am, at North Dalton Park. 15.01.2022 Wins to our 1s, 2s, 3s White, 3s Maroon, 4s Black & U13s yesterday to go with the earlier wins to the Gems & Junior Gems this week. 1st Grade took on University at North Dalton Park. At 4/29 we were a little concerned! Then a 97 run partnership between Nathan Loveday (55) & Corey Fogarty (90), then a 83 run partnership between Fogarty & Toby Dodds (44) got us back on track & finished on top with 8/235. We were well on top early with the ball, although unable to grab a wicket... until 18th over. Duncan Maddinson (3/36) grabbed another couple of quick onesbut Uni were still well in the game. Jason Welsh 5/34 helped swing the game in our favour. Whilst Welsh took the spoils, Will Whitehouse & Tyler Johns (1/12 off 8 overs) set the tone early on. Uni were all out for 205. 2nd Grade had a good day out too making 5/254 against University. Matt Crouch (60), Scott Smith (63) & Lachlan Murphy (86 n.o.), with a couple of 90 run partnerships setting the foundation. Sam Mutch took 4/40 on his way past 300 wickets for the Club, and the other bowlers chipped in as we bowled out Uni for 130. 3rd Grade White made quick work of Port Kembla. Dawood Hassan (3/3) & Abdul Haseeb Afridi (4/12) cut through the Port Kembla batting order to have them all out for 57. Shazaib Noor (41 n.o.) took us to the winning total 2/61 in 16 overs to claim the 2 bonus points as well. 3rd Grade Maroons had an even more impressive win over the Uni Greys. Thrivedi Visametty (59) & Kailash Bharadhwaj Sridhar (55) allowed us to set 9/195 for Uni to chase. Mahammad Wahaj Sheikh took 7/7, and Will Badger 3/6we bowled Uni all out for 32. 4th Grade Blacks are continuing their winning ways. We put on 6/354 against Port Kembla. Michael Bryant (40), Ulises Jaque (37), Drew Bryant (51), Lachlan Crawley (59), Kyle Dutton (64 n.o.) & Stephen Brown (on debut) made 44. David Smolenaars & Bryce Woods each took 3/12 as we bowled out Port Kembla for 89. 4th Grade Whites were well in their game against Corrimal Red. 05.01.2022 Our Ladies & Girls are showing the way...on & off the field. Both the Gems & the Junior Gems (U13s) had wins this week. And off field, our Gems wore black arm bands & purple ribbons, in support of one of our ladies, who lost her young brother during the week...he was a sufferer of epilepsy. A donation/collection to the epilepsy society happened last night at the game, and if anyone would like to donate today...come to NDP after the games today. Senior Gems 4/179 def Keira Lionesses's all out 75. Junior Gems 2/172 def Port Possums 3/108.

01.01.2022 It was another good day for the Club with 4 wins in Round 3. Our Womens Gems were washed out on Friday Night. U17s had a BYE, U13Bs a win & U11s a win too. We also have the U13s Junior Gems play last weekno result posted yet. 1st Grade had a close loss against Wests. West made 9/173 with Andrew McRae taking 3/27 in his 1st Grade debut. We bowled Wests out for 128, with Hamza Maqbool taking 4/25. And we were a little nervous at 7/112and then our youngest batsman brought it home. Tyler Sherman made 42 off 128 in 3 hours of battingthe innings that was required. 3rd Grade Whites claimed a win over Corrimal. Dawood Hassan 3/11 & Ghulam Muhammad 3/42 the chief wicket takersbowling Corrimal out for 147.
