25.01.2022 Wollongong Harmony Chorus is back from the Zoom half-life of 2020-21! We'll be celebrating with a live sneak-peak performance of some of the new material we've been working on in Isolation. And, as a bonus, we'll be welcoming to the stage: THE GRADUATES OF OUR LATEST LEARN-TO-SING COURSE! So if you want to experience an hour of fine a cappella plus supper, save the date now: 8pm, Thursday night 1st July, at the Ribbonwood Centre Dapto. Gold coin donation (no charge for family and friends of our Graduates). Send us a message or leave a comment below if you're coming to help us keep track of numbers.
23.01.2022 We loved singing for many of Wollongong's Seniors groups last year. We're missing it in 2020 but we're keeping our vocals tuned up and learning new songs so we can get out there and spread more sunshine in 2021. (PS... this is a 2019 photo)
23.01.2022 Lockdown Limericks The challenge is on! Our members have been passing the time getting creative and writing limericks. Here is the first. We challenge you all to create your own #choruslockdownlimericks.
22.01.2022 Sweet Adelines Australia is extremely honoured to let their members know that, after seeing our I Am Woman video shared on social media, Helen Reddy’s family contacted us to request to use this video at Helen's private memorial service. The service was held on October 25, which would have been Helen’s 79th birthday, and our video opened the proceedings. Traci, Helen’s daughter, said that our video perfectly honoured her mother, her song and demonstrated her reach to women. Traci described the video as "a beautiful, beautiful tribute" and said we could share with all our members how much joy it brought to their family in Helen’s celebration of life. Thank you, Traci, for this honour. We will always have you and your Mum in our hearts. Wollongong Harmony Chorus is very proud to have been part of this project.
22.01.2022 Find something you love and enjoy it for a lifetime! Congratulations to these long-term members of our chorus, thank you for being inspirational leaders and encouragers.
21.01.2022 Another limerick from our talented Lyndel. Keep those #choruslockdownlimericks coming. #lockdownlimericks

19.01.2022 The Eyes Have It: Zoom is such a visual medium: how successful were we at telling the story of the song with our eyes?
19.01.2022 Last week we celebrated Christmas in July on Zoom. One of our members created this beautiful Christmas scene. Thanks, Wendi!
18.01.2022 Welcome back, Colleen (centre)! After a few years break, this brilliant bass is back and we couldn't be happier.
18.01.2022 Our chorus shared their personal images and messages for mothers past, present and future. We hope that these resonate with you. Have a beautiful Day!

15.01.2022 We were so excited to be performing on stage again after more than 12 months. And the bonus was coming third at the Wollongong Eisteddfod.

13.01.2022 NSW Health says quintets can sing together (with precautions). This is making us HAPPY (clap along if you feel....)
13.01.2022 Anagrams from our chorus name. Amersham A Cappella and Vocal Vibes Chorus set the challenge and we went to work. How to use every letter in our name! #chorusnameanagram
13.01.2022 Woo hoo! Welcome to the 15 wonderful people who turned up to the first night of our Learn to Sing program! How wonderful to have so many new faces to sing with us.
10.01.2022 We're carolling 5 nights straight, singing for members of the public being lured into Shellharbour City Council's Enchanted Forest at Blackbutt Reserve, Shellharbour. Singing Christmas songs in near dark, in a forest till late at night with many small captive audiences is a novel & super fun way to spread good cheer. Kudos to Council for creating this unique COVID-safe event for their Community. We're very happy to be part of it!
10.01.2022 Did you get your spooky on this Halloween?
10.01.2022 First virtual rehearsal happening now in the comfort of our own homes. Some family and pets joined in, others had family that prefer not to listen and some rehearsed earlier in the day. We used videos, sound recordings and all manner of technology. Some decided that a pj rehearsal was their thing to make it fun (shame no photos of that one).
07.01.2022 Our latest virtual performance - a song for the times.
06.01.2022 We were getting together a lead up to Hobart video, but all things changed when the virus arrived!
04.01.2022 In the rain...out of the rain... day turning to night. It was like singing through the seasons these past 5 nights at Shellharbour. And we loved it all!
03.01.2022 At the going down of the sun, and in the morning...
02.01.2022 We're singing in Wollongong Mall this Saturday - come along to hear carols old and new. Bring some jingle bells if you want to join in!
02.01.2022 We're so excited to be getting back together this week. It's 45 weeks since we last rehearsed in person. It's 80% likely we'll be 'singing in the rain' but that won't stop us. After 2020 we can do anything!
