14.01.2022 Hi All We know we always have a great time when we get away together as a group. How about we have something different one Saturday morning. This is for everyone. A fun relay event has been put together for those wanting an enjoyable flat water race like event. ... It will be held at Swallow Rock at 7am Saturday 16th January. This will be a two-person relay team with each paddler completing two five-kilometre laps of the "nets" course for a team total of four laps a distance of 20 kilometres It will work as follows *You will need to express your interest in the event prior to the day so that relay teams can be formed *Teams will be chosen by historical 5k race times or best guess. *The slowest paddler will be teamed up with the fastest paddler. The second slowest paddler with the second fastest paddler and so on *The total projected time of the fastest and slowest paddler over 20 kilometres will be used to handicap the rest of the teams *As this is a training session there is no entry fee and the winning team will get the total purse This is a race for everyone - there is no paddler too slow or too fast to enter and be a chance of winning. This will be a celebration of our paddling community. Let’s see how many Wollongong Paddlers we can get along
