24.01.2022 Wollongong Wolves Holiday Clinic Day 1. Upon arrival at Thomas Dalton Park, all players, coaches and parents were engulfed in the ‘air of excitement’ that comes with Day 1 of our holiday clinics. The various flags of footballing nations adorned the carpark, the thought-provoking sessions where set up and ready for the Young ‘Wolves Cubs’ to be put through their paces. A record number of players enrolled for our school holiday clinic and coaches were blown away by the quality... on display. Our player centred sessions and workshops brought out the best in each and every player! From the opening warm up session where all players touched the ball repeatedly, competed in fun games and had the opportunity to make new friends, we all felt the day had a special feel to it. The flying start set us up for an excellent day of football action! We welcome our new and first time Wolves cubs to the Wollongong Wolves Football Community and are extremely pleased to be working with our Academy, SAP and Junior Wolves throughout the clinic as well. Throughout day 1, it was evident that Our 4 core values of RALF, Respect, Attitude, Leadership and Family were on display from start to finish. Parents are to be commended on the excellent attitude and efforts from their children. See you all tomorrow for another fun day

23.01.2022 Pro Hire Group Man Of The Match Nick Littler Great win to beat Backtown City 2-0 this afternoon with goals from Josh Bingham and Marcus Beattie

23.01.2022 Expression of interest for Pre-SAP development program trials 2021 (Under 8) Wollongong Wolves are continuing to enhance youth players football journey. On the back of a very successful Pre SAP in 2020, we will again be running the program in 2021. Pre SAP is targeted at bringing together a squad of talented under 8 players (2013/2014 born) to learn and grow in a high performance environment.... It’s aim is to prepare young players for the transition into our SAP squads. Players will still be aligned with their junior club for training and match days however will train with the Pre-SAP development squad 1 night per week and be involved in friendly games throughout the year. Other leading NPL clubs are rolling out similar programs which will provide opposition for some elite matches. There will be a trial and selection process to finalise the squad which will be conducted in December or January (dates tbc) The program will run for the first three school terms and costs will be advised upon selection. 22.01.2022 Round 4 Highlights Highlights from our round 4 clash yesterday. Congrats to our u/20’s who also had a dominate 5-0 win.

20.01.2022 Wollongong Wolves Holiday Clinic Day 2. An action filled day was organised for our Wolf Cubs, the early morning breeze was replaced by a gloriously sunny day full of goal-scoring, football games galore and the highly competitive camp tradition of the coach versus players tug of war!!! The Wolf Cubs finishing victorious in Challenge 1 and the coaches making a comeback in Game 2. The eagerly awaited decider will be held tomorrow on our final day of a highly successful clinic. P...S. The coaches hope the kids will be too tired for the decider! Our unique player centred workshops continued with players developing a Nutrition plan to assist with their pre-training, post-training and match day eating habits. The knowledge of all players in regard to Nutrition was highly developed. A most important aspect covered was the topic of Recovery The three R’s REFUEL, REPAIR, REHYDRATE. We hope all players put their plans into action! Our Wollongong Wolves NPL 1 coach, Luke Wilkshire paid our Cubs a visit today and he was suitably impressed with the efforts and quality of play. A massive stand out today was the way players listened to tips and asked questions of our former Socceroo (80 caps) Luke! Three Wolves Cubs Isaac, Daniel and Finn presented Luke with their handwritten tactics session on ‘How to use a 3v2 to your advantage in attack!’. Luke took the session plan to use at training tonight. We look forward to our first grade’s game against Sydney FC on the weekend, goals, goals and more goals! We were fortunate to have Joel King pay our youngsters a visit during our lunch break. Joel made his senior Sydney FC debut this season and played extremely well to gain a permanent spot in the starting line-up, keeping the experienced Michael Zullo on the bench. Joel grew up playing for Shellharbour, his football journey took him through the Project 22 program, FNSW Institute programs and onto the Joeys and young Socceroo National programs. We thank Joel for giving up his time, offering many tips, answering loads of questions and was kind enough to stay and sign many autographs for the eager and well versed Wolves Cubs. Throughout day 2, it was evident that Our 4 core values of RALF, Respect, Attitude, Leadership and Family were on display from start to finish. Parents are to be commended on the fantastic attitude and efforts from their children. See you all tomorrow for another top day of football with our World Cup games and a few other surprises for the players

16.01.2022 Once a wolf, always a wolf The Port Kembla Vs Woonona clash is our feature fixture for this weeks’, once a wolf, always a wolf post. Not ideal conditions for football was a nice way to sum up this weekend’s weather!! Former Wollongong Wolves National League (NSL) Youth player Robbie Davies has taken the reigns at Port Kembla. Robbie played a number of seasons during our Brandon Park tenancy. We wish Robbie all the best for the remainder of the season. Port Kembla had its sh...are of former Wolves NPL1 players on Saturday’s 1st grade team sheet. Fabian Iacovelli played a number of seasons under the guidance of former coach and new National Technical Director Trevor Morgan. Tory Musemeci’s pathway from juniors to seniors with the Wolves culminated with him being part of the Championship squad in 2019. During his time in NPL 1 football he scored a number of spectacular goals. Luke Boersma and Jarryd Mortimer played a number of Youth team games and played a significant role in NPL 1 competitions. Mitch DiPietro, Tony Musumeci and Jayden Nikolovski rounded out former wolves juniors that lined up for Port on the weekend. The star of the match Robbie Gaudiosi of Woonona sharks spent time at the Wolves as a junior. He featured heavily in the weekends game bagging a double for the Sharks in their 3-0 win. His Woonona teammate Jeremy Lopez also had an impressive stint with our youth team a few seasons back and it is great to see him playing well this season. Both these players are playing important roles this season for the northern suburbs side. We wish these former Wolves and their team mates, all the best for the 2020 season. We are extremely pleased with the positive impact our NPL 1 program continues to provide! Stay safe and sanitised. Once a wolf, always a wolf!

05.01.2022 This week has seen young aspiring players from all across our region attend Wolves trials from U9 U16. The coaching staff have observed some great football being played and the future looks bright for the region as the talent on show was of a high standard making the process of selecting the final squads even more difficult. Not only are Wolves aiming to develop the best local talent, today also saw us joined by Football South Coast’s Referee Educators who invited aspiring ...young referees to assess them on their performance in an environment which will allow them to showcase their ability. Like the players these referees are developing their skills and having them work with our players of the future was great to see as they continue with their development and education given by the watching FSC mentors and educators. Many thanks to Paul Flemming and Leigh Blanch of FSC for organising this and adding to the professionalism of the trial process.
