17.01.2022 The Wolper Jewish Hospital Health Foundation has awarded a new grant to Waverley Men’s Shed. Danny Goulburn OAM, chair of the Foundation, presented the Shed with their award and said It was enlightening to not only see how well the Waverley Men’s Shed is setup but also the Shed’s wonderful work in supporting the mental health amongst the isolated men in our community. The Foundation is pleased to financially assist the Shed with the cost of first aid training and much needed repairs to their defibrillator. Wolper is so proud to be supporting an organisation that is focussed on the health and wellbeing of our community

07.01.2022 How do we have a concert to celebrate the festival of succot in COVID-19 times? Rabbis Yehoshua and Yehuda Niasoff, cantors at Kehillat Kadimah and Central Synagogue respectively, met the challenge. We filmed them performing a moving, beautiful concert and then we broadcasted it on the patients’ TV’s in their rooms. At 3.30pm on a Tuesday afternoon, our patients sat back in bed or relaxed on a chair in their rooms, and enjoyed the amazing concert. A different yet meaningful way of enjoying concerts at Wolper
