13.01.2022 Due to popular demand and a quirk of fate, The Beachniks will return to Wolseley Winery. The Beachniks never play in Melbourne, (which they deem to be evil). Instead, they have been playing and living around Lorne and the Surfcoast for about 24 years(!) True! They describe their music as ‘Nu-Surf’ which is a blend (in equal amounts) of Dub reggae, 60’s garage surf-rock , folk-pop and jazz.... They released 2 CD’s on the Jazzhead label and are best known to play as an electric 4 piece, which features Jeff Raglus on trumpet, guitar and vocals, Randall Forsythe on guitar, Evan Jones on bass, and Simon Dawe on drums. Come along and share 2 local secrets, Will’s wine and the Nu Surf Sound of the Mighty Beachniks! The Beachniks will play at Wolseley Winery 1790 Hendy Main Rd . Paraparap. On Sunday Afternoon , Feb the 23rd from 4pm till 6pm. Doors open 3pm $15. entry
