18.01.2022 KNOW YOUR BUSH FIRE ALERT LEVELS.

15.01.2022 Last Sunday the Brigade checked the fire trails up on to and along a section of the Black Range (the eastern side of our Brigade area). Cleared some trees and checked access. Trails in good order. The Brigade are in the process of checking access and the state of all fire trails in our area.

09.01.2022 A vacant block in the village which had become dangerously over grown was cleared and our Brigade were asked to do the pile burn. Completed safely, but a difficult job as the radiant heat and embers had to be carefully managed with wooden fences and other structures so close. Our Captain lighting up.

02.01.2022 BUSH FIRE SURVIVAL PLANS AVAILABLE AT WOLUMLA HOTEL: Wolumla Hotel has kindly offered to hold copies of Bush Fire Survival plans for members of our community to take. Available are Farm Packs and Standard Packs. These packs contain valuable information on how to prepare your property for the fire season. They also contain a step by step guide on how to prepare a fire plan for the protection of your family. A fire plan should be discussed and updated every season as your assets and family dynamics are constantly changing. Please help yourself to a pack. ALSO AVAILABLE AT FIRE SHED THURSDAYS 6.30PM OR MESSAGE US AND WE WILL ORGANISE ONE FOR YOU.

01.01.2022 Wolumla Rural Fire Brigade will be conducting a hazard reduction burn of lovegrass at Helmer's Culvert, Candelo - Wolumla Road on Wednesday afternoon 7th October about 4.30pm. There may be a significant amount of smoke as a result so you may wish to keep your windows closed.
