25.01.2022 HELP NEEDED... Well it's all happening at the hall... In preparation for our new kitchen and prior to our repaint outside we need a few muscles to help dismantle the old kitchen... This Saturday the 29th of August starting at 2pm and hopefully finishing at 5pm we are asking anybody that's able to come and give a little bit of time to help pull apart the ktichen. We will be doing a sausage sizzle when we have finished as a thankyou to our volunteers.... Thanks in advance for anybody that is able.to come and give a little bit of time...

24.01.2022 UPDATE - Due to the fact that it's been a very quiet month for the Wolvi Hall we have decided to take this month off from having a general meeting so will look to have the next meeting in September. Hopefully by then we might have a few things underway and be getting closer to being back to normal. Stay Safe... The Wolvi Hall Committee

19.01.2022 Update - Last Tuesday night saw the Wolvi hall team have their first meeting since Covid began in March and was a great opportunity to not only catch up but to get updates on what has been happening in the down time. There are still quite a few projects that are being actioned with the kitchen renovation to start in September as well as the painting on the exterior in the near future which is really going to have our community hall looking fantastic. After we had the upda...tes it was time to flow into the AGM which has seen a few changes on the committee. A huge thank you to Grahame, Adele and Dan who have stepped off for a well earned break from these roles, however I do know we will still be seeing them at our usual catch ups when they kick off. Welcome to the new team which consists of Michelle, Deirdre & Peg who are both brave enough to do another year and to Jono who is bracing himself and wondering how he will control this gaggle of women! He's young and has broad shoulders so I think he will be right! A big thank you to everyone who put aside the time to be at the meeting and to the entire team of volunteers who are committed to making sure we continue to be able to keep our hall open for the community. Looking forward to when we can kick off our Open Mic and as soon as we have a date we will let you all know, until then thanks for your support - The Wolvi Hall Team.

19.01.2022 Well what a fantastic working bee we had today.. A huge shout out to everyone who came to help..we achieved everything we needed to in getting ready for our new kitchen. 18.01.2022 Well with everything still happening behind the scenes and not able to open for Open Mic as of yet we will not be holding a monthly meeting until October. In the interim once the kitchen and painting begins we will do some little updates so you can all see what is happening. If you have any queries with regard to the hall just send through a message and one of the team will get back to you..

17.01.2022 WORKING BEE...Well thank you to those who are able to give us some time..doesnt matter if you can come from 2-5pm or if u can just drop in for an hour its all very much appreciated.. The sausages are bought and the skip bin is ready..see you all tomorrow.. The Wolvi Hall Team

16.01.2022 Save the date Tuesday July 21st 2020.. 6:30 p.m. Because of covid there are quite a few things to finish off with the monthly meeting then we will follow-on straight away into the AGM. Also because of covid and social distancing we don't have any financial members at this stage so we are able to email or drop off a membership form for anybody that would like to become a member, cost is only $5 for the year. Please message our page to let us know the best way for us to send yo...u a membership form for the Wolvi Hall. If you are looking to attend on the night please come at least 15 minutes earlier so that you can fill out a membership form and pay your money on the night if that is easier before the meeting which will enable you to vote. On behalf of the Wolvi Hall team we look forward to seeing some familiar faces as well as some new ones. All welcome

09.01.2022 And Another One Bites the Dust...ANZAC DAY is cancelled for 2020 @ the Wolvi Hall.

06.01.2022 Well we thought it was time to give you a little update on what's been happening at the hall.. so although we have been in Covid-19 there have been quite a few things going on behind the scenes. But for those of you that have driven past the hall you will have seen that the new roof has been installed along with 6 whirly birds which should make things a lot cooler. Also below is a list of the work done so far:... - New solid front door keeping with the Federation horizontal grooves. - New solid back door with security screen door. - New landing and stairs at back door. - Removal of boarded up door at back of stage. New outer boards replace that space. - Removal of northern stairs. Door replaced with a matching window to the others on that north, east wall. Work to come: Full Paint job to Heritage Dept requirements. Kitchen to be replaced in Sept/Oct with new appliances. Don and Deirdre have also been very busy with grant applications so will keep you up-to-date with how that goes. But of course the biggest question on everyone's lips is when are we going to get back to normal with Open Mic nights etc.. Council have provided a document which outlines the procedures needed to be able to open our hall and at this stage the amount of cleaning that is required of all things, toilets, chairs etc( this means every time somebody goes in and out the toilet) also having a limited number of people (20 at this stage) all practising social distancing outweighs the practicality of opening as we are a small band of volunteers. First and foremost we are still also mindful of protecting our community and their health. We will endeavour to keep you up to date with any new changes happening. Stay Safe.. The Wolvi Hall Team.

06.01.2022 So just a reminder (and of course I know everybody would be aware), but all events at the Wolvi Hall are cancelled until further notice.

05.01.2022 In an effort to do our bit and inline with happenings across Australia, the Wolvi Hall will be cancelling all events until further notice.
