13.01.2022 I had an incredible day yesterday at Dr Peter Vardy’s student conference. At the conference we were given the platform to express deep philosophical questions about truth and life. I was exposed to so many questions I have wondered about but thought too crazy to ask of other people. Peter made me think about things I have never even considered. He has truly changed my way of thinking about the world and life. (for the better) I now realise a ‘human’s purpose is fuelled b...y searching for answers to questions such as; what is true love? what is happiness? what living life to its fullest potential involves? Dr Peter Vardy has helped me to understand the importance of having an open mind to understand the world and the way that others think. I now question my religion and what it does for me, not in a negative way of course, but in a more realistic and spiritual guiding way, which will influence my long-term lifestyle. If this conference is available to year 12s next year I am 100% interested. I also went to QUTs parent seminar last night with my family and I've gone from 100% having my heart set on studying psychology to considering now doing a double degree, including philosophy.
