19.01.2022 This Threatened Species Day we say thanks to landholders and others who continue to offer support to find new habitat for the Northern Hairy Nosed Wombat. The wombats have specific habitat needs, so it's not an easy job but with your support we should be able to find them the right site. Video: QLD Government.

19.01.2022 Did you know.... that at the last wombat census, about 240 northern hairy-nosed wombats were estimated at Epping Forest National Park, made up of nearly equal numbers of female and male wombats? The second site, Richard Underwood Nature Refuge, is estimated to have 10 wombats, making the total population approximately 250 northern hairy-nosed wombats in the wild today. 15.01.2022 We wanted to introduce you to someone very special- Meet Scarlett of Queensland. After reading the book, The Hairy Nosed Wombats Find a New Home, Scarlett was very concerned about the dwindling numbers of wombats in the wild. So she held a lemonade stand, lots of friends visited and together they raised $63.25 for The Wombat Foundation and HND in May! Thank you so much and well done Scarlett and friends! Go Team Wombat!
