06.01.2022 It was another fantastic Literary Forum @wombathollow_ today, as Andrew Tink AM dispelled some myths about Australia’s role in Neil Armstrong’s ‘giant leap for mankind’. ‘Honeysuckle Creek’ (available @thebookshopbowral) is an incredibly well researched book, that tells a fascinating story about this exciting period of space exploration. We were honoured that Hon John Howard OM AC joined us to introduce Andrew and give ‘Honeysuckle Creek’ high praise and his thorough recomm...endation. 03.01.2022 What a fantastic afternoon we had on Saturday, listening to one of Australia’s greatest artists John Olsen AO OBE in conversation with Greta Bradman, featuring The Sydney Art Quartet. It was magical listening to Greta and The Sydney Art Quartet playing, as the rain fell on the roof at Wombat Hollow. Listening to John speak about his life and influences- from his childhood in Newcastle during the Depression where there wasn’t a painting in the house, through to his time living... in London, Paris and Spain, and back to Lake Eyre- was truly inspiring and a wonderful treat to hear this legendary artist speak. Thank- you to Clementine Photography for many of these images from a special afternoon hosted by Cadence and Co.
