21.01.2022 While most winter sports have been cancelled, Jindalee Ag are proud to announce their sponsorship of the new Hockey 8's limited competition being run by the vol...unteers and staff at Hockey Albury Wodonga. Over 200 players North of the Border closure have signed up to compete and have fun over the next 8 weeks, following the cancellation of their regular season. Updated documentation will be available this afternoon but we are proceeding with the following approach. At this point our 2 normal training times will be scheduled around the following time table. Juniors 5:45 - 6:00pm (Warm ups/Fitness Grass Field) 6:00 - 7:00pm synthetic Seniors 6:30 - 7:00pm (Warm ups/fitness Grass Fields - Mandatory) 7:00 - 8:00pm synthetic Full Training - CVD 19 Rules All participants MUST register upon arrival. Commencement dates for the season are; Seniors - 11/7/20 Juniors - 17/7/20 Full training - 1/7/20 A roughly 75% season fixture is proposed so you need to take control of personal fitness. While initial indications are positive we need to know your intentions for playing this year so please complete the new surveys below. We do encourage you to participate in our intensive pre-season sessions before making your final decision. Fees for this abbreviated season will be adjusted based on rounds played and potential association discounts being investigated by HAW. We hope to have this detail finalised by Monday or Tuesday. Senior Squads - Training under level 2 restrictions (Wednesday 18th and 25th) means you MUST register your training time or you can’t enter the grounds (link below). 15.01.2022 Members, The glimmer has now become a flame, and this Saturday will be our first whole club fitness and training session to be held at Noreuil Park. Please reach out to all of your team members and check they are getting the news. If there are any new prospects interested in joining then bring them too.... There is no cost involved at this point so we would like as many along as possible. Especially if your considering taking this season off. We will be gathering in socially responsible groups around the park @ 11:00am. Once we have completed our session I would encourage everyone to join us at Brady’s Hotel afterwards. We have booked the Pavilion and there are also spaces inside should we have to many numbers. Once there is some detail available from tonight's meeting I will send around more information about Saturday. At this stage we will be gathering in 3-4 groups and review numbers from there. 15.01.2022 HOCKEY 2020 UPDATE Members, there is a lot of speculation and comment circulating about the current challenges for the 2020 season. We are discussing the matter as a committee and will be meeting with the HAW Board and other Club Reps tonight. The focus is to get some semblance of a season started and catering for changes along the way, should border exclusions impact us. 07.01.2022 KOTZUR FUND RAISER SUPPORT If you're available this weekend to put some washers on bolts for our Fund Raiser please slot in a time. The McMillan Factory is open between 10am & 2pm, Sat and Sun.... Teams of 3 ideal - A tech gun with 13mm socket (2 per team) desirable also. I have a couple but we need 4-5 per session. Max 6 - if you haven't had a go, come and try. Phase 2 is to give you a Washer Jig and take some boxes home between training nights. 02.01.2022 KOTZUR FUNDRAISER IS BACK Members, We need to prepare another 25 boxes of bolts by Monday. Can I have 10-12 people either Thursday night (6:00-8:00) or Sunday Afternoon (2:00-4:00)... Alternatively come and pickup a jig and board to complete 2 boxes at home and return by Sunday 4pm. Juniors get Mum and/or Dad involved. Seniors we need everyone to chip in.
