25.01.2022 This is from 2015, back when small human was tiny human. I’m pretty sure I’m smiling because someone came to my house and asked for normal milk and I offered... them my breast milk. And then when they looked disgusted, I got to feign outrage that they’ll drink the milk of a cow who’s a stranger, but won’t drink mine. (Yeah I’m just that annoying). Five years later and I’m still producing milk. Devastatingly, most dairy cows don’t get to lactate for this long. After the vicious cycle of forcible impregnation, birthing and being torn away from their calf, and then made to continue lactating for a species that doesn’t even need it - their bodies are spent. With literally nothing left, they are sent to slaughter. Used up and then thrown away. There is nothing to justify this horrifying treatment of animals. And so I’ll keep being the annoying vegan, because the animals deserve better.

Los explotadores nunca usan anestesia para este cruel proceso para ahorrarse ese dinero y aumentar todo lo posible las ganancias obtenidas con la venta de la leche de estas vacas, pese al gran dolor que esto supone para ellas. Existen infinidad de alternativas veganas a los lácteos (leches, quesos, yogures, helados...) 100% vegetales que no implican financiar el sufrimiento de nadie. Por favor, hazte vegano/a y deja de pagar estas crueldades.

Michelle worked for 15 years in the dairy industry and made the decision to walk aw...ay from it all when she realized she could no longer be part of this cycle of torture and boundless violence. "I have no idea how many mothers and babies I put in the trailer to send to the slaughterhouse. How many mothers were left without their babies, and cried and called them. It is a deceptive place. Only those on the inside really know." Today Michelle is a mother and confesses that when she pictures cows and calves, she remembers all the pain she caused them, it is engraved forever in her heart.
