With a professional background is in sales and marketing, Chontelle is a specialist in volunteerism and community engagement with over 18 years volunteering experience. Due to her active participation within the community, Chontelle was elected to Local Government in 2017. Sandra Cook has served as Chair of Economic Security4Women, and National Policy officer for BPW Australia. Her key achievements include securing commonwealth funding for eS4W, a federal government funded National Women’s Alliance; administration and acquittal of three year funding programmes; advocacy and implementation of programs for greater financial security for women in small business; and developing strategies to secure partners and supporters to expand the reach of eS4W projects and research. 14.01.2022 Welcome to WEFPerth, Leanne Barron, CEO of Starick! Leanne will be speaking at the "Females at Risk Domestic Violence, Sexual Harrassment, Bullying" plenary session. Leanne Barron has been the CEO of Starick for over five years. Prior to this, she was a Director in the State Department of Communities, working in the areas of children and family services, seniors, carers and volunteering. She has professional qualifications in Social Work (Curtin University, 1988) and a Masters in Public Policy (Murdoch University, 2003). She has worked across both the not-for-profit and State Government sectors in a variety of service delivery, management and policy roles across housing, disability, early childhood, welfare and family and domestic violence. Yaso holds BCom and MBA from Curtin University and is currently an elected member of the Canning City Council, in Western Australia. Yaso is native Tamil speaker who seeks to preserve and develop Tamil language and literature. Over many years, Yaso has promoted Indian music and Dance in Perth. She has always been interested in collaborations between Indian and Western artists including combining Carnatic Music with Jazz.
