25.01.2022 Last night we went on a night safari with the amazing Tom from Hooked on Nature. We started with some nibbles and a glass of bubbles as the sun went down and then wandered into the bush to see what we could find. Micro bats, spiders, crayfish, eels, water dragons, fireflies, frogs, moths, bugs, and leeches and even a luminescent scorpion. A fantastic and interesting night!

23.01.2022 What an amazing adventure we had yesterday with JetBuzz Watersports. An Ocean Extreme Ride starting on Lake Macquarie, through Swansea channel, under Swansea Bridge and out to the ocean. We ripped it up on the waves doing spins and power brakes and rode some waves as well as checking out the spectacular Ocean Caves. We finished it off with a glass of bubbles and lunch at Cams Wharf Family Cafe. 23.01.2022 Another cracker of a day in the world of WEA. 2 walks, approx 15kms in total and and a bunch of amazing ladies made for a fabulous Friday. Walk 1 was 7kms along the Warner’s Bay Foreshore followed by coffee at a local cafe. Walk 2, a 8km walk from Mereweather Surfhouse to the Bogey Hole and back finishing with a drink and a delicious lunch at the Surfhouse. All of this was topped off by being able to spend the day with the beautiful Kaz for her birthday. We learned the basics of sailing a keel boat, hoisted the sails, had a go at the helm, gib and main followed by a well earned lunch and bubbles at the yacht club. 15.01.2022 THANK YOU to all the beautiful ladies who came to our Christmas party. We raised almost $1500 plus another $500 from a portion of all adventures sold over the past couple of months. With that money we were able to buy 5 x $200 WEA new life basket and 10x $50 gift vouchers for the ladies at Jenny’s Place. We also purchased $500 worth of Restore One Charity Christmas decorations to help our friends in Cambodia - we hope they are all pride of place on your Christmas Tree. We love helping out others less fortunate and believe giving is living. We look forward to continuing to support these amazing charities in 2021. ACTIVE OUTDOOR WOMEN MAKING A DIFFERENCE!
