23.01.2022 Domestic violence is just not acceptable in any home let alone those homes who hold up the values of Jesus. There is never a good reason to hurt your spouse and partner. End It Now is the Seventh-day Adventist campaign to end violence against women. Check out my short video I am passionate about this! Glenn Townend End It Now Emphasis Day is TODAY!

23.01.2022 Resurrection is not a case to be made or an argument to be won, so much as it is a story to be told, a life to be lived, a reality to be enacted in our world and a hope to be nurtured. (Nathan Brown, Advent)

16.01.2022 This Webinar is coming up this Thursday (Sept 17 at 1pm AEST). The Northern Australian team have been blessed by the material that Suz Slade has presented for pastors on mental health. So - we're extending it for all of our AUC pastors. You may have met Suz when she worked for adsafe. Suz is married to Darren (NA President) and so understands the challenges of pastoral life and has some great ideas and tips for keeping sharp in regard to Mental Health. https://adventistchurch.zoom.us/688490212

13.01.2022 Women, in particular, are prone to self-destructive patterns of perfectionism in their approach to work. Such perfectionism is often caused by living under a shadow of condemnation and experiencing life devoid of significant affirmation, particularly in the early years. aim for 80% satisfaction in work rather than 100%. whilst the initial 80% worth of satisfaction attached to any task requires significant time and energy, the remaining 20% (a relatively small amount) calls for a further investment of FOUR TIMES the original effort.

12.01.2022 I find this event very positive and inspiring. This time anyone can attend, not only those who bought the tickets. Join the nation's leaders for prayer. Monday 12 October, 7:30 AEDT time.

12.01.2022 The true goal of those supporting women in ministry is to move beyond the values of traditional or progressive cultures, and, instead, be true to what the Bible teaches. (Graham Joseph Hill, Holding Up Half The Sky).

12.01.2022 Join the SPD live event this Friday evening to be inspired about discipleship movement.

10.01.2022 This quote from Women and Leadership I find important for women who tend to pay more attention to finishing tasks: Do not underestimate how valuable getting people to know you is and how much space you should take up. In addition, spend the time needed to network and build coalitions and friendships. It is worth it.

09.01.2022 You've been working harder in the last few months. Check out whether you are burning out and what to do about it.

07.01.2022 I like the term AFFIRMATION. Men's and Women's Affirmation to ministry. Thank you Josh for your reflection in your ordination response. https://www.burnthehaystack.org//josh-woods-ordination-res

06.01.2022 Any woman or girl who is thinking of becoming a leader but is plagued by worries that she is not good enough should take heart. That experience is not unique, it is held in common with some of the most powerful women in the world. Self-doubt is not a barrier to leadership, but part of it. (Women and Leadership, Julia Gillard and Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala)

06.01.2022 A sad truth is that the rates of domestic violence in Christian church-attending families are much the same as in society at large. Will you help us raise awareness against domestic violence? Start by running a program at your church on August 22. We have resources to help you: https://women.adventistchurch.com/ev/enditnow-emphasis-day/ #August22 #EndItNow2020 #EndDomesticViolence #ChurchandSociety

05.01.2022 Kevin Giles shows how biblical texts on male headship have often been misinterpreted and used to perpetrate the abuse of women by Christians globally and especially in the developing nations. https://wipfandstock.com/the-headship-of-men-and-the-abuse-

02.01.2022 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Romans 12:18.

02.01.2022 Pola Ivory - a very important box for holy relics was found in Pula, Croatia in 1906 (Pola is an Italian name and Pula a Croatian name for the same town). This and a few other iconographic artifacts show that women and men served in priestly functions in early Christian church. Check the article for details and how these findings help us to understand apostle Paul's writings.
