18.01.2022 The Governments economic stimulus has now been legalised. Please share we have broke it down as much as we can thanks to our accountant. Here is some information Superannuation Individuals may be able to withdraw $10,000 from their superannuation in each of the 2019/20 and 2020/21 years.... The withdrawal from super will be tax free in the individuals hands however you must satisfy one of the following conditions: You are unemployed or made redundant post 1 January 2020. You were previously employed and your hours have reduced by 20% or more post 1 January 2020. You are a sole trader and on or after 1 January 2020 your business was suspended or suffered a reduction in turnover of 20% or more. You are eligible to receive certain payments from Centrelink such as JobSeeker. INDIVIDUALS - Stimulus payments to households The Government has increased the support payment to social security, veteran and other income support recipients and eligible concession card holders from one payment of $750 to two payments of $750. The first payment will be made from 31 March 2020 and the second payment will be made from 13 July 2020. Eligibility To be eligible, you must be residing in Australia and be receiving one of the following payments or hold one of the following concession cards: Age Pension Disability Support Pension Carer Payment Parenting Payment Wife Pension Widow B Pension ABSTUDY (Living Allowance) Austudy Bereavement Allowance Newstart Allowance Youth Allowance Partner Allowance Sickness Allowance Special Benefit Widow Allowance Family Tax Benefit, including Double Orphan Pension Carer Allowance Pensioner Concession Card holders Commonwealth Seniors Health Card holders Veteran Service Pension Veteran Gold Card holders Farm Household Allowance A few quick points: You will NOT have to pay tax on that It will NOT count as income for Social Security, Farm Household Allowance and Veteran payments.
