24.01.2022 Women's Imaging team striking for climate change 2019!
23.01.2022 This March Women's Imaging are raising funds for Endometriosis Australia. In our office we have scrunchies for sale. $3 each and all funds raised will be going to Endometriosis Australia.
22.01.2022 We are still in the evolution phase of putting in place protocols that we envisage will help us all in these uncertain times. The phones everywhere are running hot so if you can’t get through please email us if you can’t attend, and let us know if you are either unwell or cancelling your appointment as life does get in the way while we are making plans. [email protected]... If you are unwell, we will re-schedule your appointment after 14 days. If well, you will be rescheduled at the earliest convenient time. If you become unwell with a fever, or are tested for or diagnosed with Covid-19, within a week of your scan with us we request that you notify us immediately. Please face-time your scan with us. This allows those members of your family to be with you, though virtually I know, but I believe this is best for everyone. I am asking that only one member of your family attends with you and that children not attend if possible. As always Images, including cine loops, will be available on-line. We will not be taking bookings for Gender Scans or Babyview scans for the next 4 months. Lynne Brothers
22.01.2022 Due to high demand we have sold out this week! With such a wonderful response to the scrunchies, more will be available next week to purchase from our office
20.01.2022 Thank you all for helping keep everyone safe and as well as possible. We will be asking general health questions and taking your, and your support persons, temperature as you enter the practice. Please do not bring children into the practice.... On arrival please come in and chat with the reception staff, they will check your details and ask you to wait in your car. The technician will call you into the practice and take you to the examination room. Guidelines and advice are arriving daily from our professional groups and the government. Keeping a distance, keeping hands and surface etc clean and minimising contact time are our main defences. Mammography and ultrasound are contact activities. We are trying to be inventive in using our technology. Thank you for our understanding as we make our way forward as safely as possible for everyone Lynne Brothers

18.01.2022 They say it takes a village well in our case it takes a special community. A community who has rallied around us to help provide and source the necessary PPE so we can continue to provide essential services. I thank you all for your generosity. Because of the close contact with our patients Sonographers are particularly vulnerable at these times. We are working hard to apply the guidelines set by the state and federal government and our professional bodies to keep us all sa...fe. I would also like to thank the patients for their understanding who have had examinations deferred until safer times. We will call you, and I hope it will be soon Lynne Brothers
15.01.2022 To all our valued patients and referrers. Due to circumstances beyond our control we will be very short-staffed in reception on Monday the 18th of November. If you ring to make an enquiry or a booking please be aware that our wonderful hardworking reception staff may take your contact details and call to complete your booking later in the day. This may occur after hours. If you wish to make a booking online please see our webpage www.womensimaging.net.au for our online booking information. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding.
14.01.2022 These are uncertain times and we share your concerns regarding COVID-19. We have taken on board the recommendations from the Australian and Tasmanian governments to put in place additional safety precautions for our patients and staff. We ask that you bear with us as we navigate the rapidly changing recommendations. We ask :... If you have a fever please do not attend our practice. Let us know and we will re schedule your appointment. If you have a cough please use the provided face masks. Keeping in mind that we need to keep our distance. When you arrive at the practice ring the rooms and let us know that you have arrived and are waiting in your car and we will let you know which US room you will be assessed in and when to enter the rooms. We also believe that it is best to limit the number of people in the room with you when the scan is performed. Please be assured that we have put in place additional protocols for cleaning of the rooms, machines and probes to keep us all safe. The reception staff will from Monday be asking for email addresses. This will enable us to send information sheets for you to fill out and return, to lessen the contact that we have. We would appreciate emailed pictures of the request form, where possible. Ultrasound and mammography are examinations that require person to person contact, and this will not change. We do not have the ability to work from home so we are aware that we need to keep our practice safe for patients and workers as we move forward We are working on changes to scanning protocols to minimise contact yet still maintain our high standards to provide a diagnosis. We will keep you informed as we move forward. Lynne Brothers
14.01.2022 At Women’s Imaging, our ethos is to provide the best care we can to women and babies, in a safe and welcoming environment, based on the most up to date medical evidence. The Australian Medical Association, and the Australian Nurses and Midwives Federation, have stated that climate change is a major threat to the health of Australians. That’s why we’re taking an extended lunch break on September 20, to support the kids at the global climate strike and create a better future... for all Australians.
