25.01.2022 Season 2019 is officially over for our Foster ladies, the round up is that we started the year with only three players having played football and the rest were new to the game. As the season continued more players joined to experience a new sport and what football might offer to them. We realistically werent supposed to even win a game in our development year. Our goals were clear, form a team , win a game and dont finish on the bottom of the ladder. The round up is this, ...we won four games and then competed in the finals, not bad for a bunch of new comers. These ladies have learnt the basics and compete extremely well gaining respect from all of our competitors and next year we will be a real threat to all. The improvements and commitment to the team by everyone has been Sensational its been a pleasure to coach and I hope we all stay together for next season, and Im sure those waiting to see how we were going to go before putting there hands up to play will be impressed. Our numbers were good This was a combined decision from the committee and coaches, taking into account the current covid situation and a common sense approach. 20.01.2022 AFL Gippsland up-date March 25th In summary; confirmation of the delay in commencing 2020 season with the health & safety of all a priority. There will be a mid April review. In response to Federal & State government stage 2 restrictions we are asked to cease the following; Group training ... Club meetings (unless phone or online) Group use of facilities. Clearance & permits suspended until May 31st. Further details are available on AFLVic.com.au health.gov.au So we are on hold at present -but top priority over the next few weeks is everyones health & wellness.
