13.01.2022 Women’s Health Victoria is deeply saddened by the news that the Directions Tree at Djab Wurrung has been destroyed. Thousands of Djab Wurrung babies have been born, over multiple generations, within these sacred birthing trees. In keeping with their commitments to both gender equality and Treaty, we call on the Victorian Government - and their federal counterparts - to protect the remaining trees at Djab Wurrung, which connect generations of Aboriginal women and their communities to Country and culture, and are essential to community health and wellbeing. http://ow.ly/DV2m50C4yhU
