21.01.2022 Day 3 of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence. Why not take the UN's Feminism Quiz.....

19.01.2022 The root cause of violence against women is gender inequality. Gender inequality drives violence against women and girls in four key ways: condoning of violence... against women, men’s control of decision-making and limits to women’s independence, male peer relations that emphasise aggression & disrespect towards women, and rigid gender roles & stereotyped ideas of masculinity & femininity. So how do we end violence against women? We address these gendered drivers and work towards an equal society. . 14.01.2022 I’m so happy to be playing some songs alongside these brilliant other artists soon to celebrate and raise money for Children's Ground. They are a really amazing... organisation that supports First Nations families and kids with community-driven education and health care. It’s free to register for the show via www.crowdcast.io/e/dqi6t5ne (donations are optional but encouraged of course if you can)! Looking forward to singing to you through the online looking-glass soon See more

10.01.2022 Better financial literacy and confidence for our girls will strengthen their capacity against the possibility of future financial abuse and control. Whether you use the product below or not it is a fantastic idea.....

09.01.2022 Today long time WRC friend Kate Moorehead queried whether the WRC could provide any assistance to a woman in the Bega Valley who had just found herself with the care of two small girls. We were able to put together a little care package of nappies along with these gorgeous trauma toys, handmade blankets and a little box of Two Good Co. goodies for the carer which Kate will arrange to deliver. Thank you to Kate and to all who provide donations to the WRC, you have helped to make life a little easier and provide a little bit of care for this woman and children. You may not always know where your donations end up but it is you all who make these lovely moments possible

02.01.2022 To make matters worse, 2020 is also the year our Govts raised fees for female dominated courses, and given that women , whomtake chief responsibility for family, end up being in and out of the workforce, and we still don’t have equal pay...they’ll be lucky to ever pay off their student debt.

01.01.2022 Gender inequality is one of the major drivers of violence against women. We've still got a long way to go!
