24.01.2022 Beautiful words from a member of one of my group coaching programs. This one has been running since February. Joanna Clary and I run group coaching together (our attendees get double the love). I love how:... > connected, > supported > accountable and > inspired the group are from each other. If you ever get a chance to join a group coaching program try it out. XLana

24.01.2022 Ladies!!! Here’s your change to have your further education partly funded $$$ Register your interest by Friday 11th September. I completed an MBA (Masters in Business Administration) 15 years ago. I loved learning new subject matters and it was the biggest confidence boost and best career move I could have made. It opened up career paths I would never otherwise explored. The courses referred to in the link aren’t an MBA but they can expand your mind and extend your knowl...edge and skills. They can also count towards an MBA if you’re looking for more extensive further studies. Invest in yourself! Your worth it XLana See more

23.01.2022 R.I.P. to iconic actor, Sean Connery. Here’s to someone who was true to his talent. One of life’s great lessons. I’ve always been captivated by the combination of his accent and the lovely deep tones of his voice. ... http://www.abc.net.au///sean-connerys-best-movies/12836460

22.01.2022 Great analogy? What boat are you in? What’s one small thing that might help it sail on?... XLana

20.01.2022 Geometric wall project When: you’re facing two weeks of school holidays after many weeks of isolation and remote learning... and you’re wondering how on earth to keep the household engaged in something, anything! ... here’s a project the whole family can help with. With the help of our 7 year old, 9 year old and 12 year old (the inhabitant of this newly painted bedroom), we repainted the bedroom and cupboard doors, door and window frames and of course the walls. The other walls were solid colours. What big or small project ideas can you share for inspiration? I’m looking for ideas and I’m sure others are too. XLana

18.01.2022 Recommendation: Find a community of people to lift you up, believe in you, appreciate you and build your sense of belonging and connection. And add a dash of fun! I’m so grateful to my friend Megan Shields who suggested some years ago that I check out Women Making it Work (WMIW). ... They’re such a beautiful group. Authentic, vulnerable, encouraging, supportive and love a good laugh. I’m grateful that they allowed me to try out a new game last night I hadn’t run online before: Scavanger Hunt! It was a great way to get us moving in the middle of our End of Year Celebration. It’s a great way to add a change of pace to an online teams meeting or leadership program! It’s super easy, you get to know people a little more and everyone can get involved. Who is your community? Or do you have multiple? XxLana

12.01.2022 A wise friend shares a story of hope. Thank you @Catherine Bell

11.01.2022 Sunday feels like the perfect day for a dose of self care Sometimes I feel like the week has been both energising and energy depleting. Usually because I’ve worked hard doing what I love (fortunately). Even doing work we love takes energy, especially if you are introverted (and there’s a whole spectrum from high to low introversion) and your work requires lots of interaction. ... Add parenting on top (!!) and managing our energy is critical to our wellbeing. So if Sunday is the only chance you get to slow down and nurture yourself a little or a LOT! then how can you make it a priority today? I love thinking about self-care in multiple ‘buckets’ (like the image below). Q: *What set-care ‘buckets’ have you filled this week? *Which ones need some topping up? *what’s one thing you can do TODAY to top up your self-care? My physical and social buckets feel well looked after this week. Today I feel like SPIRITUAL & EMOTIONAL needs some love. SPIRITUAL + I’m thinking a nice dose of trimming my roses (gardening can fee cathartic to me and reminds me of my beautiful late Nonna who had a magnificent garden) + and perhaps a bath tonight will do nicely. EMOTIONAL + Maintaining inner-calm is an ongoing focus for me. I mostly manage to achieve a good level of calm but some days there is a little tension (and occasionally higher levels of tension) bubbling within that I like to pay attention to when I notice it. + So I’m going to tune in to a guided meditation either while in the bath tonight or before I jump out bed in the morning. What will you do to fill your self-care buckets today or in the week ahead? XxL P.s. If you’re looking for a program to guide you through SELF-MASTERY over a series of months (to ensure MAXIMUM benefit to you and your experience of life and work), drop me a note in the comments below or message me. I’ll be sure to keep you in the loop. P.p.s. I’ve studied self-mastery in so many forms over the past 25 years (and I keep studying and learning!) and have SO MUCH valuable, life changing wisdom to share.

10.01.2022 Is it time to put important things front and centre again? Put your dreams back in the spotlight? Rekindle (or maybe rediscover?)those parts of your life that light you up? ... Two weeks ago I was asked by someone to Please run another Women's Retreat Program! I really want to come and I want to bring 3 friends who I know will love it to. 01.01.2022 A dear friend once shared with me how she was learning to use perspective to manage her anxiety. She would ask her self, On a s sliding scale, how bad is the situation I am facing? She would draw a scale on paper. - ... On the most stressful end of the scale is being chased by a hungry lion (facing certain death). On the other end of the scale is safety. So she’d ask herself Where is it on the scale? While some situations were still stressful, she began to allow her brain (and heightened nervous system) to see it didn’t need to be wound up ready for an attack by a lion. She began to see that she was okay in that moment. Her worries about the future were stopping her from enjoying the now, the present moment. Perspective allowed her to find just a little more calm and presence in each day. I’ve used this a number of times when feeling overwhelmed by stress or worry. Together with practicing Ekhart Tolle’s presence techniques, it has helped me immensely. I hope this comes in handy for you or a loved one sometime. X Lana
