23.01.2022 Phones are still a mess....probably worse. It appears if we answer a call no-one else can ring in. This remains the case for up to a minute after the call has ended. If you leave a message it probably wont get through so its best to email us with your phone number on [email protected] and we will ring you back.

23.01.2022 PHONES: We are still having issues with many people unable to get through and the phones appear engaged a lot. If this happens please send us an email and we will ring you. We are looking at solutions but at the moment the forced move to the NBN has been a natural disaster for us. We have plenty of space as bookings have halved.

22.01.2022 A big thankyou to all our patient patients who have supported Dr Kaushik and Tara through this traumatic couple of weeks. Dr Kaushik was diagnosed with breast cancer and has had a masectomy. It appears we got it early enough. She will still need to undergo chemotherapy for the next 12 months but we should still have our Kukki for many years to come. Massive thanks go out to Dr Jemima Grant at Bulli Medical Practice for pushing Kukki to get the mammogram done based on her blo...odwork, Dr Tony Palasovski in Wollongong for his thoroughness and amazing surgery (no wonder he is rated one of the best breast surgeons in the country) and Dr Dharmesh Modi at Wollongong Diagnostics Corrimal for such a thorough biopsy. We thankyou in advance for your understanding over the next year as we will continue to have some disruptions during the chemo. And a personal message from Kukki...... check those breasts even if YOU think its nothing. If in doubt please see the doctor.

19.01.2022 Not pregnancy related but such good news.

18.01.2022 NBN is up and working. All phones are working. Its over....

18.01.2022 Currently phone is diverted to a mobile. Not perfect but something at least.

18.01.2022 Could explain a lot!

16.01.2022 Makes a lot more sense. Definitely remember you do need to take at least a 4 day break every month as continuous use does cause problems with the lining of the uterus.

15.01.2022 With the restarting of IVF and the small easing of restrictions we are now doing procedures such as HYCOSY again. Unfortunately we still cannot take partners into the practice as social distancing measures are still in place. With such long scan times and multiple appointments the potential for transmission is still high despite all the precautions being taken. Further easings are being talked about for next week but the details are not yet available. Thankyou for your co-operation. You are protecting us and the next person and their baby.

15.01.2022 Lots of roadwork today. Parking is available in our car park in Tyler Street. This is stacked parking do feel free to park someone in.

14.01.2022 NBN update......We have no FAX. Phones are still working foe now. Our fax line has been ported to the new company BUT they arent ready to activate the line yet. As a result we have lost our fax line at the moment. Hopefully we will have it back soon but it could be as long as 5 days! I discussed this exact thing with them before we signed up and was told this would not happen. Funny how those promises evaporate once your signed up.

13.01.2022 Phones are now down. The wait begins..... Please email us if you can and we will ring you back. We can ring out on the Fax line but incoming calls all go to the fax machine on that line.

13.01.2022 Tara will be closed for 1 week for a much needed break. We will be closing from Mon OCT 5 to Fri OCT 11. There will be no-one on the phones during this period. Emails will be looked at once a day so replies may be delayed.

13.01.2022 CHRISTMAS HOURS Tara will be closed on 25/12/19 and will reopen on 2/1/20

13.01.2022 Only thing that worked on our first child.

13.01.2022 Covid update. Unfortunately we still cannot allow partners or children even with the person limits being raised. The rule that is causing the issue is the 1 person per 4 square meters. Our reception can accomodate 4 people under that rule. Commonly we have a couple of people waiting to go in and a couple of people just finished. In one of our 2 scan rooms the patient and sonographer takes us to our limit. Most people are in the facility for around 1 hour so the exposure time ...is high. We are looking at the situation daily and apologise for the problems this causes but our highest priority is and remains that we will not become a cluster case with a large number of pregnant women involved. That possibility is a nightmare for everyone. Until the 4 square metre rule relaxes and it is a clear a second wave is not coming we will be maintaining a high level of biosecurity. Given the recent decision to send all the children back to school to see what happens, the next 4 weeks should be very informative. Thanks again for your understanding in what is a very difficult time.

12.01.2022 NBN at TARA During next week probably Wed, Thu or Fri we will be moving over to the NBN. This WILL knock out our phones and fax for a period of time. Hopefully no more than a couple of hours while the phone system is reconfigured. We apologise for any inconvenience. We expect to have an active internet connection so we should have email during this time. Fingers crossed.

12.01.2022 Phones should be working properly now. Spent a couple hours with support fixing the problem but the phone seems to bounce to the extra line properly now. If you get a voicemail option both lines are busy. This will send your message as an email to us and we will ring you back. Now thats hopefully over I will quietly go and hide in a corner hoping it all works....

12.01.2022 Thankyou to all those patients who have kindly rescheduled there appointment if they are feeling unwell. We are more than happy to reschedule an appointment if you feel unwell. Given the current hysteria over every cough or sneeze it is probably better to be safe than sorry. ... Masks are also as rare as toilet paper at the moment. Having said all that the old precautions of washing hands and avoiding casual contact are still your best protection.

12.01.2022 Currently we are fully booked until January 2 unless there is a cancellation. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. We do still have many spaces available in the new year but there will be no-one on phones from 25/12/19 until 2/1/20.

12.01.2022 Truly remarkable. Huge step forward in a eradicating a horrible condition.

11.01.2022 Phones are still problematic and are dropping out a lot. We are slowly trying to isolate the fault in the system. If you have any difficulties ringing in we are still open! Please try sending us an email with your phone number. We will ring you back. We cannot blame the NBN until everything on our side of the connection has been tested or replaced.......

11.01.2022 Fax is working now we are just waiting for our phones to drop dead. This will happen as soon as the number is ported across. The phones will then stay dead for probably four hours but possibly longer. We are halfway there.

10.01.2022 Merry Christmas To All and a safe and happy New Year. Tara will be closed from SAT 24/12/16 to MON 2/1/16. Open Tues 3/1/16. Bookings immediately post new year will be very tight as per usual. Please feel free to leave a message on the answering machine. Although it can only store 100 messages before it refuses to take any more. ... I will be in for a day or two post Christmas to clear the answering machine. Alternatively send us an email and we will respond after christmass

09.01.2022 Down again. We have lost phones and internet again this morning. It appears to be something at our end rather than our provider and we have our IT guy working on it. Until then people at work cannot communicate with the outside world at all!

09.01.2022 CHRISTMAS HOURS. This year we took our break early and will only be closed for public holidays and December 31st. This means we will be open until Thursday 24th December. Closed Friday to Monday. Open again on Tuesday 29th and Wed 30th. Closed Thursday to Sunday. Open again on 4th of January 2021 and trading as normal. Wishing everyone as safe and happy festive season.... We are intending to modify our COVID restrictions when we open in the new year. Until then we are going to wait and see what happens with the easing of restrictions over Christmas. I will post again after Christmas if all goes well.

09.01.2022 Finally something that may be useful!

08.01.2022 Mobile phones have been in operation for a week now and appear to be working much better. Moral of this story is "If at first you dont succeed .... give up and bypass the NBN completely!" Unfortunately we cannot do this for the fax machine so if you need to send us a fax my prayers are with you....

08.01.2022 Phones are still a nightmare. It took me 15 attempts yesterday to make a connection to our landline. Call ended or Call dropped almost every time and the phone was not in use! We are trying to divert to a mobile but even that refused to work. With the diversion in place it still rang the landline! When I rang the phone company they had never seen that happen before. So to answer your questions YES we are still open...... and yes I am losing all my hair!... If all else fails EMAIL [email protected] with your phone number and we will ring you!

07.01.2022 Yes we are open. Due to the high volume of calls I thought it needed a mention. If this changes we will contact you. We have no plans to close and are considered an essential service. We are closed from April 10 to 18 for a planned break over easter.

07.01.2022 Due to the coronavirus issue we are upgrading our measures again as per department of health guidelines for social distancing. These are as follows; 1. We are limiting scans to the patient ONLY. No partners or children please in order to minimize the number of people in the scanning room. (We understand this may not be possible with infants but for their and our safety it is better to minimise social contact for all involved.) 2. We are reducing the cost of a usb to $10 inste...ad of $20 in order to allow people easy access to recordings for family and friends. 3. Cancellations can be made at any time if you have any symptoms of fever, headache, cough, sore throat or shortness of breath. Anyone with these symptoms should not attend the appointment. 4. All reports will be sent via email. You must send us an email requesting the report so we send it to the right person. You will still speak to the doctor but we are trying to minimise the amount of time people spend in the waiting room to keep groups smaller. We thank you for your co-operation in helping us comply with health guidelines in what is an increasingly difficult time for all.

05.01.2022 We have the new phones. Hopefully this will fix the issue now Main phone is losing connection and dropping the sim card. New phones have been ordered. If all else fails send us an email and we will ring you. We are rebooting the phone repeatedly. Apologies. FIXED

04.01.2022 It appears some phone calls are going through but some are coming back engaged all the time. If so send us an email with your number and we will ring you back.

04.01.2022 Daily phone saga update....sad but true. Things are better. We can receive two incoming calls at once now but sometimes the third call in is not going to voice mail like it should. This is hopefully fixed about 3pm Fri. It tested ok but it usually takes a couple of hours for a new problem to surface at the moment. If you do get voicemail this will be sent as an audio file to our email so we will get it and get back to you. Thankyou for your patience.

04.01.2022 Phones have been reconfigured again. We are hoping that this will be the end of our NBN nightmare. We suspect that any outbound call blocked incoming calls even though they should have been possible concurrently. Two new numbers have been added to avoid this. If you ring the 46256585 number it will jump to these other numbers after 5 rings or on engaged signal. Hoepfully now people will be able to talk to us unless both phones are in use then you will still have to leave a voicemail..... if that works!

02.01.2022 Phone update: Phones are now diverting to mobile. If you ring the landline it will ring our new mobile. If the first is busy it will go to the second mobile. If that is busy you will be able to convert voice to text so we can ring you back. Hopefully this will solve our problems for now by bypassing the NBN completely. Thanks to everyone who has continued to ring us despite it being so ridiculously frustrating.

01.01.2022 Thankyou to all for your assistance during this trying time. Anyone working at Tara who has any symptoms of even a common cold is staying home at the moment until given the all clear. We ask that you do the same. ... Only the patient can be scanned as the limit in the rooms is two people under the current guidelines. We have been asked by the hospitals to remain open for urgent or mandatory scans as they cannot cope with any more patients. Fertility scans are no longer being done or procedures such as Hycosy as IVF is basically shut down now. Currently we have been able to maintain staffing however this could change at any moment if someone becomes sick. We will contact everyone should we be forced into a lockdown. Worst case scenario is we can have one secretary on the front desk to make phone calls. Thanking you again for your co-operation.

01.01.2022 Phones and internet are working again!
