07.01.2022 Wolves break winning drought against warriors. Kallindale Warriors hosted the Wondai Wolves at Lyle Vidler oval. After winning the toss and batting, wolves lost a couple of early wickets, Jackson Merritt 31 and Ryan Heness 11 combined for a 48 run stand to keep Wolves ahead in the game. Wolves middle order found some form to build a solid total of 8/175. In reply Kallindale started solidly, looking well placed at drinks at 4/114. Solid contributions from Dane Bloomfield 38,... Tavis Hartwig 30 and J Reilly 26 kept Wolves bowlers thinking. Wolves paceman toiled hard Ethan Kucks 2/44 Jeremy Hobbs 1/19 and Chris Kerkow 1/31. Drinks proved a wonder stroke as the Wolves decided to try spin. Francis Hobbs 3/8 and Billy McDowell 3/23 spun the game quickly into Wondai’s favour. Dismissing the remaining batsmen with some fine bowling. Eventually Kallindale were dismissed for 146. A great victory for the Wolves, as recent weeks have been a struggle. Just proves the hard training drills and persistence is paying off. Well done Wolves. Wolves won the toss and batted. Wolves 8/175 off 40 overs Jackson Merritt 31 B.McDowell 27 Robert Christensen 18 Chris Kerkow 15 Francis Hobbs 13 Ryan Heness 11 Dane Bloomfield 3/24 off 8 Brett Simpson 1/15 of 7 Z Willard 1/16 off 2 In reply Kallindale Warriors All out 146 Dane Bloomfield 38 Tavis Hartwig 30 J Reilly 26 Francis Hobbs 3/8 off 4 B McDowell 3/23 off 4.5 Ethen Kucks 2/44 off 6 Jeremy Hobbs 1/19 off 6 Chris Kerkow 1/31 off 7 Wolves win by 29 runs
