22.01.2022 We are wanting to build a replica model of the original Wondai Railway station. Just wanting to know if anyone has any old photos on the layout of the tracks that we could use. If you have any information that could help can you please contact the Wondai Heritage Museum on 4189 9318.
13.01.2022 As part of Pinking Up Wondai in support of the McGrath Foundation,the Wondai Heritage Museum and the Wondai Timber Museum & Visitor Information Centre have Pinked up to.There will be a Morning Tea held at the Wondai Timber Museum & Visitor Information Centre on Thursday 7th November at 10.00 am with all monies raised going to the McGrath Foundation.So everybody is invited to dress Pink and come along and join us,have a cuppa and support this fantastic cause.

06.01.2022 These four photos of Christmas postcards are part of a four-four postcard collection that were very kindly donated to the museum after the donor purchased them at a garage sale in Nananago.The postcards are dated to around the early 1900's.The messages wriiten on them appear to revovle around a specific family connection but very little else is known about the writers.We hope you enjoy this warmhearted snapshot of families festive celebration of Christmases Past in the South Burnett area.
06.01.2022 As a another year draws to a close and families come together to celebrate Christmas and the new Year,we the volunteers here at theWondai Heritage Museum would to say a huge thank you to all our visitors,Facebook friends and to all the donors of items to the Museum.This year the volunteers have created Christmas displays based around the many and varied toys that children have enjoyed receiveing in the past.These toys will be on display in the museum's foyer into the New Y...ear,so come up and visit the museum and take a nostaglic trip back in time to the childhoods of past eras.We hope you enjoy these photos of our Chrsitmas themed dispaly as much we enjoyed creating them.There is so much more to see,this is our shared history and heritage and we encouarage all if you are in our lovely little town of Wondai in the stunning beautiful South Burnett area to come in and say hello and have a look around not only the museum but also our excellent Art Gallery and superb Timber Museum and Visitor Infromation Centre. We will be posting more photos and information for all our Facebook friends on the museum's various exhibits on Facebook early next year. The Wondai Heritage Museum will be closed from Tuesday 24/12/2019 to 2/1/2020.Normal opening hours will resume on the 2/1/2020.
