22.01.2022 We are about to kick off a fundraising drive to raise money for a defibrillator to be installed here at Wonder Kids Early Learning Centre. It would be great if you could roll up your sleeves and help. The good news is that this fundraiser is super simple and delicious. Cadbury Fundraiser: we are selling a selection of Cadbury products ... Every box we sell will raise approximately $24.00. So, we are asking all members of our community here at Wonder Kids if they could sell at least one box for us. Feel free to grab another box if you have got lots of hungry buyers lined up! Tips for selling your treats Sell to family members, colleagues, friends, or neighbours We do not recommend that children sell the products if they are involved, please ensure an adult is always with them We are confident that this fundraising drive will help us reach our goal of raising $5000.00 for a defibrillator. Rosie was recently diagnosed with Wilms and as we can not all be there with her we would love to help and support her family as best as we can. please dig deep as every little bit helps. Building simple steps into your daily routine can help lower the risk of unintentionally leaving a child in a vehicle: Place an item you will need at your destination in the back seat of the car, such as your bag or wallet. Attach a mirror for rear facing car seats so you can easily see your child. Create a mental checklist to run through every time you leave the car, such as 'baby, keys, bag'. Get in the habit of checking your backseat every time you get out of the car. Check even if you know your child is not with you. This will help make looking before you lock part of your normal routine. Look Before you lock. Every time. Without fail. Discuss your 'Look Before You Lock' routine with every person who drives your child anywhere. This includes partners, grandparents, babysitters, and friends. Be extra alert if your routine changes. The risk of unintentionally leaving a child increases with a change in routine. Importantly, if you accidentally lock your child in a car or you come across a child left unattended in a vehicle: Keep calm Think clearly and act quickly Call your roadside assistance provider if you have one Call 000 immediately if you have any concerns about the child's health.

06.01.2022 Frank the Kindy dog from C&K Walkerston has asked us for some help with his Christmas Appeal for MARS, so of course we would love to be able to help out our loc...al community. We have placed 2 boxes in the front foyer for donations. In the spirit of Christmas, we are wanting to give back to the community and embrace our love of animals for an important and worthwhile cause. We are doing a Christmas Appeal for Mackay Animal Rescue Society (MARS) and seeking donations of tinned or dry cat and dog food, kitty litter, pet bedding and pet toys to help support the AMAZING job that MARS does looking after animals until they find their forever home. https://www.facebook.com/frankthekindydog
