23.01.2022 CASH FOR CANS Please help us to fundraise by placing your cans, bottles, etc into our pod located at the Community Garden. If you have any extra pods laying around you no longer need, please let us know. We are hoping to have one located at the rubbish tip soon....

09.01.2022 Come on down to the festival tomorrow & support our local group 'Wongan Hills Community Gardens' Burgers made with fresh beef patties from Dave the Butcher, fresh baked buns & local fresh farm eggs. Will be cooking from 8am down at the Tourist Centre.

08.01.2022 What a tremendous turn out we had on Saturday, managed to achieve a great deal including all the shade cloth is up. Some new gardeners will be testing how green their thumbs may be. The kids had an absolute ball. A big thank you everyone that joined us, finished off the morning with delicious sausage sizzle and Beef & gravy rolls for our hungry helpers.

08.01.2022 We are having a busy bee on Saturday 14th Sept at the Community Garden on Commercial Street. 8.30am We will be putting up fencing & preparing garden beds. Please come along & lend a hand, bring your gardening tools

01.01.2022 Wongan Hills Community Garden Update There is a garden allotment waiting for you . The garden beds have been seeded with lupins as a nitrogen fixing green mulch . The kitchen & ablution block is up & running .... The committee has been successful in obtaining a $5,000 grant from 'CBH Grass Roots '. This will help set us up with a storage shed , some tools , seedlings & soil improver . Thanks Julie for persuing that project . A special thanks to Phil Dawson for his creativity , Phil donated his time & materials to beautify the toilet block . Looks great Phil . Currently there are 18 X 20square metre garden allotments available . Get started before the cold weather ! Great value at only $1.00 per week . This includes water & insurance . There is also a $2.00 annual membership fee . Next Working Bee to help put up the shade cloth windbreak on the fence plus other jobs is on Saturday 16th May at 9.00 . All welcome .
