11.01.2022 Quiz number 6 on the How well do you know your shire Your only prize is everlasting fame (if you get it right) Streets of Wongan Hills Who was CAMM ST named after ... We have a winner already ! Well done Heydi District Surveyor J Camm, see below. Many streets in Wongan are named after surveyors, politicians, and only a few after early pioneers at the time of Gazetting, which figures as the rail made the town happen before it was really settled. A full list is being compiled, with the excellent assistance of Chris Fitzhardinge who has researched all the original streets. These questions will have to get harder. Next question will be Ballidu streets, then Kondut and Cadoux

She was also State President of the CWA and was involved in the CWA, District and divisional commissioner of the Girl Guides, Civil Defence, local P+C, Anglican Church and unsurprisingly was awarded an OBE and OAM for her amazing Community involvement Who is the lady in question and who are the other women in the photo ??
