06.01.2022 This is some great updates from the Grants committee The new cart path on the 17th hole is a great addition Wonthaggi Golf Club News’s. After many months, of extreme weather, Covid restrictions finally work commenced on the Golf Carts/Walking tracks, first one now finished is the 16/17 , next is 2nd/3rd . A Community Grant from the Bass Coast Shire earlier in the year is funding the work. The Golf Club is also planting over 1500 native trees and bushes along the fairways... and rises to replace the pine trees that were removed , a donation box is on the front counter in the Pro shop and a lot of small change is appreciated along with some generous paper money in funding this project. Being a non for profit sporting club we rely on the support of the members and the community , whether it be volunteers assisting in the Pro Shop, working bees planting trees, donating equipment in good working order, it’s all helps . We are working on the drainage issues and hopefully over the Summer/Autumn we can move forward , we need equipment on loan to do this, so if anyone can assist please call 0408721168 it would be appreciated thank you. Grants Committee. See more
