25.01.2022 Wonthaggi Fire Brigade is now permitted to have the Santa Run for 2020. This year will be different due to the COVID restrictions, normally we have the assistance from Rotary Wonthaggi and go house to house, unfortunately this cannot happen this year. The 2020 Santa runs will be delivering to local parks around the township of Wonthaggi and Cape Paterson. Deliveries to these parks will be allocated in half hour blocks, this is due to limited numbers of volunteers and the larg...e amount of presents to deliver. We will Endeavor to arrive on time to the locations, Please ensure social distancing complies with current restrictions. Please Note: Final Drop off is 6pm 21st December, no late presents can be received past this time. 19.01.2022 Thanks to the culprits who decided to do burn outs on the front driveway at the fire station. We have 4 cameras looking at you. Sorry but no remorse it’s gone straight to the police. Learn by your mistakes.

14.01.2022 We might not be out and about as often during COVID-19, but rest assured Wonthaggi CFA is still here servicing the community. Also with the fire services reform and the introduction of Fire Rescue Victoria, Wonthaggi CFA remains unchanged and will continue servicing the community to the highest standard.

14.01.2022 Smoke in the area. There will be a registered burnoff today 13/11/2020 from appromiately 4pm at the Wonthaggi Pony Club. It is expected that there will be some smoke visible in the area. Please do not forget to register your burnoffs to avoid having the fire brigade called.

08.01.2022 Community Announcement - A Moment of Silence Today Wednesday the 29th April @ 1740hours (5:40pm) the brigade will be sounding their fire siren on the tower 4 times. Each time the Siren sounds, it is to honour the Victoria Police Officers who tragically lost their lives in the line of duty at 5:40pm last Wednesday 22nd April 2020.... 07.01.2022 CFA has received a number of calls from community members regarding bonfires to mark the ‘Spark in the Dark’ event this evening. We appreciate those who are tha...nking our frontline workers, but urge you to keep fire safety front of mind. As today’s conditions are windy in some areas we are urging those who wish to participate to not do so by lighting bonfires or using fire pits. If you are choosing to light a candle, please ensure it is monitored by an adult and extinguished properly. You might like to mark the event by using a torch or outside light. Thank you and stay safe.

04.01.2022 Don’t be alarmed - on the first Sunday of every month at approx. 11am, we will test the station’s siren. The siren functions as a backup to our regular paging system to alert our members of a fire call.
