20.01.2022 WDNA is seeking expressions of interest for a person to provide administration services 10 hours per week from early March for a three month period. The aim of this role would be to establish the 2020 competition seasons on behalf of the volunteer committee. 19.01.2022 This afternoon we got a tour through the new community stadium and are in discussion with the availability of the stadium to run the night netball comp, trainings ect. This does mean that at this stage the night netball competition will be postponed short term, but we will let you know as soon as everything is confirmed. Also, the w&dna need helpers to run the Saturday competition, without helpers it will not run. Many hands make light work. Thanks to netball Vic, gippssport and the shire.

18.01.2022 WDNA wishes to advise the wider WDNA community that we are working with Netball Victoria and COVID-19 Return to Play policies to implement a Junior mixed competition. *Decisions regarding the return to senior night netball is yet to to be determined* It is Proposed that the Junior competition will run from August 1 through to September 19 in a modified season. Net Set Go, U/9; U/11; U/13; U/15 & U/17 Age groups will be considered pending adequate interest levels. 12.01.2022 Tonight’s Night netball will be going ahead. As we are a small competition Netball Victoria allows this. We are reminding players that if they or anyone in their immediate family are unwell (fever, dry cough, fatigue) then they shouldn't attend, or if they have recently returned from overseas then they should be self-isolating also for 14 days. Please get your captain to contact Lee with any issues. The Netball’s have been cleaned and soap is provided.

10.01.2022 W&DNA night netball has been suspended until further notice. Saturday association netball pre-registration day and start date have also been postponed, we will advise when we will be back up and running. These restrictions have been enforced by Netball Victoria. We encourage people to remain active, exercising outdoors in the fresh air in solitary or very small groups implementing social distance Recommendations. the outdoor courts are available.

09.01.2022 Night netball starts tonight. *At the north gym* House keeping Please be on court ready for the first centre whistle as swiftly as possible. Remember no long nails or jewellery (including studs). Bottoms: black shorts (no pockets) leggings, or skirt, and each team must all wear the same coloured shirts. Please note points may be lost if these vna rules are not adhered to. Enjoy yourself, and remember we are all there for the love of the game, so keep a positive attitude. Please remember to pay your vna/registration for insurance purposes, and this will be closely policed this season, and you will not be able to take the court. You may NOT play a player who is NOT registered, you also run the risk of losing points.

07.01.2022 Women’s night netball 14+ years. If you are undecided about playing night netball or don’t have enough to field a team, we have a team that needs a few more players. Please contact Lee 0419399415 today and she will be able to put you in a team . Season starts Monday. Great way to meet new people whilst enjoying the game of netball.

06.01.2022 To the Wonthaggi District Netball Association and wider community, The WDNA committee wishes to advise that due to the current COVID-19 restrictions and with the interest and safety of the community, the proposed 2020 Winter season will be cancelled. This decision has not been taken lightly; considerable consultation and deliberation throughout the committee, participants and stakeholders, has led to this decision to ensure the safety of participants and the wider community.... The WDNA is hopeful that circumstances will become more conducive of safe competitions towards the end of the year. In the meantime the WDNA will continue to work alongside Netball Victoria and the community to ensure that all available options are explored. *Decisions regarding Senior Night netball are still being worked through with the appropriate stakeholders and will be announced when applicable* Please Stay Safe.
