14.01.2022 I've been a National Breast Cancer Foundation Speakers Ambassador since 2005 and now I am a Zero Hero - in short whilst I was on the podium getting an Olympic G...old Medal placed around my neck in 2004 I was thinking of my Mum back at home who was undergoing treatment for breast cancer - I decided there and then I wanted a world where there are ZERO deaths from breast cancer. 16 years on thanks to research my Mum is lovingly still guiding me and keeping me in check ! My staff, friends and I at Hitting Targets believe every death from breast cancer is one too many. To help achieve this we are raising funds for more research. DECEMBER 5th & 6th at Sydney International Shooting Centre, Cecil Park we will be holding Try Shooting sessions for Ladies, we will also have a ladies DTL Novelty competition for licensed female shooters along with swag bags, auctions, raffles, lucky door prizes, stalls, giveaways, firearm licensing, shooting demonstrations etc. Tickets for try shooting are $169 and the competition $75 ALL profits from the day get donated to the NBCF ! Please take action and help be a ZERO HERO ! Ladies Book in for a Try shoot Ladies join the DTL Novelty competition Become a sponsor .. donate a prize or Auction item Have a stall Make a $ donation https://fundraise.nbcf.org.au//hitting-targets---nbcf-zero or help by passing the info on to your friends or sharing this post ! www.hittingtargets.com.au/pink-clays-nbcf-charity-fundraisi Any enquiries give me a call 0418417943 or [email protected]

14.01.2022 Hello to all, To give Melbourne Gun Club sufficient time to clean up and repair their grounds due to flooding, the decision has been made for them to hold their... round of the South East Zone Teams shoot on the Frankston grounds. A big thank you to these two clubs for working together to find the best solution possible to enable Round 3 to go ahead. Please note however Round 3 is still subject to Greater Melbourne restrictions further easing to allow travel further than 25km, competition to be run, and Regional Victoria to enter into Greater Melbourne. we wish Melbourne Gun Club the best of luck with the clean up and hope you are back in full swing soon! SEZ

09.01.2022 Good Evening All We have recently received information that prohibits us from having our AGM in the club rooms due to COVID restrictions. As such, we have been forced to postpone the AGM until after the 8 November 2020 announcement, where at such time we will assess whether we will be able to have a meeting in person or if we will be required to hold a postal vote. Nominations will stay open and of course any nominations already received will have the opportunity to withdraw... their nomination at any stage. You will also receive an email over the next couple of days regarding membership renewals. These can be done any time from 1 November 2020 for the 2021 calendar year. Accompanying these renewals will also be the shoot calendar for next year. Regards Amy Kent Secretary Wonthaggi Gun Club

03.01.2022 Arrangements for the 2021 duck hunting season have been announced today including changes to the season length, start times, daily bag limit and hunted species ...in recognition of lower than average bird numbers and breeding. The 2021 season will start on Wednesday 26 May 2021 and will last 20 days, closing 30 minutes after sunset on Monday 14 June 2021. Hunting start times will be delayed until 8:00 am for the first five days of the season from Wednesday 26 May to Sunday 30 May. Hunters will be restricted to a daily bag limit of two birds and will be prohibited from hunting the Blue- winged Shoveler across Victoria, and both the Grey Teal and Chestnut Teal north of the Princes Highway/Freeway. Please see the full media release for further details at https://bit.ly/3tzk5jw

01.01.2022 Thanks to Melbourne Gun Works for the support!!! Give these guys a call for all your shooting and hunting needs

01.01.2022 Well done Alister Gammaldi !!! Making his way into the ACTA magazine Good Shot

01.01.2022 What a weekend for our President ..... "Mr Shoot -Off!!!" He started on Saturday at Melbourne GC with a win in the 30tgt Pointscore with a 90/90 and then winning the shoot-off 21/21! He then shot a 40/40 in the Double Barrel and won the shoot-off 29/29. Not satisfied with that (I'm sure Mel must have kicked him out!) he headed to Frankston today and competed in the Duke of Glouster Cup. After shooting a respectable 28/30 in the handicap event he then found himself in the shoot-off which he won 12/12! A Champion effort! Don't put your gun away, mate! You are shooting so well! Lucky for you there is no higher grade than AA coz if there was you'd be in it!!!
