22.01.2022 We are fortunate to have a great group of senior members at Wonthaggi who help out with the running of rallies and events, and who our younger members look up to. Last week at the WGZ agm, Carly Heislers and Jessica Bolding were presented with the PCV Award of Merit; in recognition of their service to the Pony Club movement. Carly and Jess are involved in running most of the events that Wonthaggi hold, as well as attending committee meetings, working bees and other non - riding activities; all while achieving great success with their riding. We thank the girls for their hard work and dedication over the years and appreciate their continued service to the club.

19.01.2022 Wonthaggi PC for the first time in a very long time had two teams represented in the SMZ & WGZ Games Day! What a fantastic effort with team Wonthaggi Crew Plus Two coming first overall and team Wonthaggi Wahoos coming fifth overall! We love seeing our riders out and about participating as a team and supporting each other. A big thank you to Micaela and Georgie for all your hard work organising and training the teams!

08.01.2022 On Sunday we celebrated Pony Club Australia’s 80th Birthday! Pony Club has come a long way as a youth movement in Australia; beginning in 1939 in Ingleburn, NSW. Today there are over 850 clubs throughout Australia, supporting around 50,000 members. Thank you to Micaela Brereton for making an awesome cross country themed cake, complete with a water jump!

06.01.2022 Congratulations to Ian Chalmers who will be heading to Hong Kong at the end of this month as Team Coach of Pony Club Australia’s Inter-Pacific Exchange. This is a two week experience with riders from across Australia attending. We know Ian will do a fantastic job and we wish him all the best for this trip.
