20.01.2022 Welcome to the Woodbank Rare Plants site - my new venture in the fabulous gardens at Woodbank created by Ken and Lesley Gillanders and now being restored and revived by Harry and I. Spring has arrived and we are admiring the huge magnolias, carpets of snowdrops and tiny cyclamen and the many varieties of narcissus and tiny blue flowering bulbs.
12.01.2022 how amazing -! i just bought one and will hopefully be propagating it soon
09.01.2022 There's nothing quite like the fragrance emanating from our collection of Leatherwood's (Eucryphia). Our garden contains every known species of Leatherwood tree, including two unique hybrids.
02.01.2022 Woodbank Nursery closed when Ken and Lesley Gillanders retired. In 2015 Harry and Kerry van den Berg purchased the property and are currently restoring the amazing 4 acre garden to its former glory. We are propagating many of the rare plants it contains for sale, We welcome visitors (by appointment) tour groups or garden clubs We are also offering a comfortable cottage situated in the garden for short term stays. The garden contains 3 small lakes, abundant birdlife and thousands of unique trees and plants. it is situated 10 minutes from Kingston beach and 20 minutes from Hobart . It is also enroute to Bruny Island, Cygnet and Huonville For more information contact Kerry via Facebook, the Blooming Tasmania website, or ring us on 0448007525
