19.01.2022 Facebook is still a little troublesome so have had to post two separate items to-day. The Organisers of the One Agency Real Estate XXXX Gold Classic are urging those players who wish to play in the Classic on 17th January to enter their names on the nomination form as soon as possible as places are filling fast and it will almost certainly be booked out weeks before hit off. We especially want our members to play but if you don't enter your names this week, you may very li...kely miss out. The event has created much interest throughout Northern NSW and players are coming from many different centres, not just locally. You don't need to come to the club, phone the club on 6682 2385 and Bernadette will be more than happy to help you find a vacant spot. The Organisers are thrilled with the response and look forward to another very successful event. While the current rain event may have washed out some of our weekly competitions it has done a power good for the golf course. A big THANK YOU to Volunteers and Staff who have spent endless hours manually operating the watering system to have the course in tip top shape for the Classic. They can rest easy now as this rain will have answered many prayers. For those members who are not aware, Greenkeeper Scott Macgregor will leave us permanently on 24th December to return to his home country of Scotland. The Board and Members wish Scott and his Family well in their move home and thank Scott for his untiring dedication to the course and the club. Scott never failed in having the course in tip top shape for all events, but especially our main events such as the Championships and the One Agency Classic. Thank You Scott for a Job Well Done! Until Next Week....Good golfing when the rain stops......and get those Classic nominations in.......

We commence 2021 with our One Agency Real Estate XXXX Gold Classic to be held on Sunday Week 17th January. Congratulations to all the winners across the year. 2020 has been a year like never before, but in spite of Covid 19 we strictly obeyed all the rules and soldiered on and enjoyed another successful year at Woodburn Evans Head Golf Club - "that little club with the big, big heart" A special thank you to our Major Sponsor One Agency Real Estate (Trevor and Sharen Manwarring), course sponsors, cart sponsors and our many event sponsors. The club could never operate without your strong support. A big thank you also to those people who volunteer so much of their personal time to the club. Small clubs like ours could never survive without our loyal volunteers, who turn up rain, hail, heat & shine. We must not forget our final farewell to our Greenkeeper of the past 10 years, Scott Macgregor. Scott, we will be really sorry to see you depart this great country, but we thank you sincerely for a great job, so well done. Good Luck, Good Health and Happiness into the future. Early in the New Year we will welcome our new Greenkeeper, Gary Landrigan. If you see him around the course stop off and say hello, make yourself known to him and welcome him to the club. I am sure he will follow in Scott's footsteps and do a great job out there on the course. Just a quick reminder of the One Agency Real Estate XXXX Gold Classic on the 17th January. Times and places in the field are running out. Call the club asap if you are still to enter your name. There are only a couple of spare places left in the largest field ever entered. The President and Board of Directors take this opportunity to wish the entire club community a Safe and Happy Christmas with family and friends and a Healthy, Peace-filled, Covid 19 free 2021. Until next time happy holidays and good golfing.....
